Resigned to Martinez now. Just can't get excited about appointing a manager that's just been relegated and has never finished higher than 15th. Shows a total lack of ambition if you ask me.

The only positive is the beak I'll be able to buy with my winnings.

I'm getting right on it if he gets the job today like.

What do you expect Martinez to do with the wigan tools, he had to shrink the wage bill while expanding the team with less money then the last 2 managers.

The Stats I have seen show the wage bill remaining steady (a lot higher than Jewel ever had) and taking a side who were comfortably mid table to relegation fodder.
If he struggles with having to sell players and not having money to replace them, how is he going to fair with our board?

However people want to spin it, when you're a top 6 side, and you employ a manager who has just been relegated 2 weeks ago, it shows a chronic lack of ambition. The fans who are lapping it up I am most ashamed of, thank christ we've taken the motto of our badge if thats what they will accept.

absolute must after the dour ginger scot.

Everton. Bringing back sexy time.
Vitor got nothing on Ian Holloway

That nice to know and also tells me you're not even worth debating with.

I didn't say it was an easy job he had bu he hasn't really excelled. Winning an FA Cup is lovely and all but look at the teams he had to beat, not exactly the most challenging run was it? The only two teams of note they played were both absolutely garbage on the day.

People go on about Moyes bottling the big games but he managed to get enough points in the other 30 games a season to have us in the top 7 consistently.

Not saying we'll be battling relegation but will he be able to achieve consistent top 7 finishes? We'll wait and see.

So Wigan was handed the F.A cup then, they batted us at the F.A cup, Moyes was outclassed by Martinez that day. Moyes had 11 years here, Moyes had a lot more money then Martinez, Fellaini cost us 15 million. Martinez also had to shop in a lower market then us, he couldn't dream of signing the likes of Mirallas and Pienaar for Wigan. Don't forget Martinez had to keep the team in this league while his best players were sold. Martinez doesn't have to build a team for us on coppers, just come in and make some touches, maybe bring in a striker for us. I would take a chance on him rather then the likes of the names being thrown around. Any manager who comes will struggle to be as good as Moyes, but he gone now and we have to look to another manager, if you want another Moyes, then Mackay from Cardiff is your man but still learning the trade. I would rather go another way and get an attacking manager in who wont play hoof ball with Fellaini.

Not sure how much you rate Moyes, but my first response was - you would be surprised. Especially if we would do a serious Continental search.

morning mate. my view is restricted by own knowledge of course. So based on what I know (ignoring all the hear-say) I am not convinced that even across the continent there is a manager that would come to Everton and do any better than Moyes. The group of players is the group of players as signings will be far and few between in regards to IMPROVING the squad.

So my view is, there may well not be a manager out there who will effectively secure more victories with the squad we have. And I am not convinced we can do much better with whoever comes in.

Just my view like.

lots of doom about the Moyes style reading back. Do not forget that early on in the season, we were playing some of the best football in the prem. fizzled out of course as our squad was incapable of perfoming at that level for more than a few weeks before tiredness and injuries set in.

RM is more likely to persist with the style through the thick and thin, rather than Jags 60 yarders in Fellainis general direction.
