Comes off well in most interviews (part from the ones when Wigan were bummed 9-0), players seem to like him too.

Haha I'd forgotten they lost 9-0.

Hang on that's not funny if he becomes our manager.

I think there's a chance that we're starting to have delusions of grandeur. Yes, we're a big club, but we're still skint, Kenwright is still at the helm and it doesn't look likely that we will get investment any time soon.

this all day long!
Aside from our history and our fans, we ain't got anything to offer.

'Could be worse' can replace nsno, seems to be the new mantra. Should be better, should be after the best out there, which imho Bobby Martini doesn't reach by a country mile. Again, just my humble opinion, but he suits the new badge, it is what Everton seem to have rebranded themselves as a level. The rest of the premier league would be cacking themselves as we become a powerhouse once more...if it is Bobby, completely underwhelmed

Gah.

This is really disappointing. Chance for Everton to make a move that inspires some excitement (i.e. Big Dunc), takes a bit of a flyer on a young manager with great promise (i.e. Solskjaer) or gets some fine European spandex suits on the touchline (i.e. Pereira).

Instead, Everton want to talk to a manager whose greatest skill WAS dodging relegation. This is not a step forward in my eyes. If Martinez is hired, he'll be gone in less than 3 years.

Money

We have none

Interesting to see who he brings over from his scouting network as I signed some good players whilst at Wigan. Strong network in Spain and South America and we definitely need a little more flair in midfield and quality in the final third of the pitch.

Think he'll be a good appointment, plays some very good attacking football.

Looking forward to what he does with Jelavic and Mirallas

Think he will sell jelavic.... The way Martinez gets his teams to play, he needs a striker that is comftable on the ball and can bring people into play from ball play on the floor. Looking at jelavic this season he can't even control a ball, think he'll be out of the door tbh.

Surely you are not implying that Big Dunc and Solskjaer have better credentials given that one of them hasn't managed a senior team and the other has done pretty well in the Norwegian League??
