It will do no good to Everton though.I just hate Billy Liar.
Still hope it all falls through and Bill is left looking a complete eedjit.

Neither will Bill.
Black armband time.
I really think Kenwright is doing the best his abilities allow, and there lies the problem. Can't hate him though, its a wasted emotion.
If GoT mobile could give rep I'd be awarding you some now. Very succinct expression of all that I feel goes in his favour. I hope we get this sorted by tomorrowI posted this a few weeks ago, even more relevant now:
Good things about Martinez:
1. The way he conducts himself is in a manner befitting of an Everton manager.
- There are no jibes calling other teams "small clubs", he doesn't publicly berate his players, he talks positively and conducts himself well and with dignity.
2. He has more than Plan A when it comes to tactics.
- Except for the Stoke 3 at the back, Moyes had two plans; Plan A, which was 4-2-3-1 with Fellaini behind the striker. And Plan B, which was 4-2-3-1 with Fellaini dropped deep. Martinez has shown a willingness to mix things up, utilising a 4-3-3 at Swansea, as well as Wigan, then implementing the 3-4-3 and the 5-3-2.
3. He has won a major trophy.
- To win the FA Cup with a team of Wigan's stature is a fantastic achievement.
4. He tries to play attacking football.
- I think we can all appreciate that the League title is well beyond our reach, so why not enjoy watching football again? Some of Everton's attacking play under Moyes was sublime, but all too often he then quickly resorted to caution to defend a one goal lead. I'd like to see Martinez authorise an all out attacking mentality with players we have.
5. He has significant managerial experience, as well as Premier League managerial experience.
- Although I would happily welcome Pereira, the fact that Martinez knows the Premier League inside out would be an advantage.
6. He has one year left on his deal, so compensation would not be massive.
- I personally wanted Laudrup, but spending close to £10m on a manager would be silly given our finances.
Jesus wept. What a pathetic argument.
All this gnashing of teeth because the candidate some people wanted doesn't seem like getting appointed. This isn't Britain's Got Talent it's Everton and none of us here have been privy to the interview process nor the snippets that will have come from inside the game about the suitability of the candidates.
Instead some have gone for someone, often someone who they haven't heard of up until a month ago, on the basis that they're right for Everton based on what they know which isn't a lot. It's toe curling for this forum.
All this nay saying can be done if the new man comes in and does sh*te after a period of time afforded to him to make the team and club his own. If it's not working then sound, I'll be moaning with you. Thing is that no one knows it will go that way, you're fans not fortune telling professional football analysts. The negativity from the offset is going to be counter productive to the chances of that man doing well though so it needs to be swerved like thankfully the majority of you (even the Team Periera campaign of which I've admired the stead fast dedication and belief to the cause!) have come out and said: the new man will get your backing as a blue.
So if it is Martinez, or indeed whoever it is, announced this week then do the right thing by Everton. Which is putting aside any misplaced loyalty you had to another candidate and get behind someone who'll be trying to make us better. F*cking hell they will need it.
In the meantime lets keep the thread sound. It's not just those posting in it who are reading it, tonnes of lurking posters and lurkers from all over the show. Over 100k views in this one alone and even then and it's dwarfed by the replacement thread.
We've all got different opinions and only foresight will prove who is right or wrong but that's just pissing contest bullsh*t. Were about to get a new manager, get the [Poor language removed] behind him, that's what Evertonians do. Who knows: it might just turn out sound.
