To be fair mate did David moyes cv all years ago warrant everton fc

Everton were rubbish back then. Would Moyes have been offered the chelsea job back then I think not and we are in a similar position league wise now.

Everton back then couldn't do any better so why are we looking at it the same way now.

Same position as Chelsea?

Consistent Champions League placings, check.

Winning the Champions Leauge, check.

Winning the Europa Cup, check.

Winning things, check.

Having billions of pounds to spend, check.

Having world class players across the park, check.

Everton are just like Chelsea in every way.

I said league wise back then not now.

2000 - 6th
2001 - 5th
2002 - 6th
2003 - 4th

What do we think the reason for this taking so long is...

a) Kenwright trying to save a couple of £ on the compensation money
b) Martinez unhappy with something... i.e. transfer funds

the same reason utd went for moyes people/clubs because he is a good young manager who has loads of potential and has experiance of managing in the premier league who tries to play good atteactive football. I would have preferred pereira however looking forward to see what Martinez has to bring.

c) Mourinho was announced as Chelsea coach today and stoke BK's thunder.

I am sure I read they were about to go under before the money came.

They must have been a pretty good prospect for a billionaire to buy them out, another example of them being in a better place than us, they managed to sell and we still can't. Anyways, semantics and a bit off topic pal, so I'll leave it here in case the Mods get all antsy at me!

I don't even think there's a problem as such at all, it's just not quite finished yet. The 'delay' is only in relation to the deadline set on Twitter. Whelan jumped the gun last night in an attempt to get his mug on the tele, and the club are doing the professional thing and ensuring that it is 100% done before they confirm anything.

At a guess, I'd say it would be announced today, or tomorrow at the latest. As I've said though, I'm still not sure what we'll see though given that Moyes is (apparently) still contracted.
