You are perfectly right.

I have inferred it from all the speculation of the last couple of weeks.

I admit I don't have any knowledge or proof so I could be wrong but Martinez surely can't be the best a club of our stature can attract.

I don't want a manager to maintain what we have achieved under Moyes. I want a manager to take us further.

We've all seen the games this season. There were at least half a dozen games we should have won and didn't. Many more than games where we got a result when we were lucky.

I hope whoever is interviewed or has been interviewed put that point across.

If it's the old "Everton punching above their weight" argument, it doesn't wash with me.
That group of players should have and can do better.

The one positive I would take from taking on Martinez is his eye for bargains from South and Central America.

We are a finisher and perhaps a playmaker away from a top 4 place. I hope he has the answers if he is appointed.

Whatever happens, I can't wait for the new season to start.

You mean like Mauro Boselli or Marcelo Moreno?

That is a myth.

Top and bottom is that Martinez is an alright option for our next manager. Nothing exciting. He will have to raise his game at EFC though or he'll get found out. That said the same goes for Moyes at Man Utd.

Really wish the board would put us out of our misery and announce the new manager.

Id have Kone, Mcarthy and Mcmanaman

I fully expect us to sign Joel from Athletico

Dont understand why people wouldnt want Kone, as long as we brought in somebody else aswell as him he would be a goos signing.

Di santo is free id stay well clear of him
