We appointed Howard Kendall, who was not a world class manager, who oversaw our best period of success and also appointed Joe Royle, again not a world class manager, who won us the FA cup. what is this rubbish about not being good enough, our best managers have been Everton through and through, not Spanish or German 'World beaters'........

When was the last time we had a scouse manager? Colin Harvey? was Mike Smith the last English Manager we had? Maybe if things go full circle Wigan will go for Neville as their new boss!

Moyes for me was already on his way before the January window closed. Martinez seemed to give a wry smile when we drew them in the cup. Rumours where rife then about him taking over here then.

I just hope that If/when he signs he moves to bring Mcmanaman here and maybe McCarthy too. I would like to think that perhaps Fellaini might give us till January to see how things settle but that is probably a pipe dream.

Periera has inherited a very good team and is not tested.

I didnt want Martinez, but I've tried to look at the positives. The fact is he is only 39, the same age Moyes was when he joined us, he already has 3 years premier league experience and did a similar job with Swansea Moyes did with Preston. He is also probably one of the youngest managers to ever win the cup. Perhaps with the right backroom staff and the players we've got maybe he will eradicate some of his defensive frailties.
