This is utter nonsense. Why has one manager finished a side 6th on the league, and another after 4 years got them relegated.
Anyway, I keep asking the same question to people, a yes or no answer is preferable, do you see us improving on 6th place next season?

Possibly. That is about as optimistic as I can be TBH.

I've said I suspect us to finish about 9th or 10th under martinez.

I'm sure you're capable of doing the maths yourself. I'll wait until you find a calcuator if needed.

Then we are moving backward as a club. However, how well he will do in his second season should take into account too.

Because of his past transfer record. He is going to a much bigger club in Everton and we have to sign better players. I hope he won't go back to his scouting list at Wigan.

This make no sense whatsoever. You sir are depressing the hell out of me. I'm going to start swerving your posts before I top myself.

So why be happy to appoint a manager who is going to see us drop 3/4 places? thats not acceptable. Or maybe a manager to move us forward doesn't exist, in which case, why is there such hostility to Moyes?
If we appoint Martinez, I hope there are get outs, like if we drop lower than 8th he's out. There is no way, given the quality of squad Moyes has assembled, we should be finishing below your Stokes, West Broms, Liverpools, or Swansea's of this world.

2012/13 - 10 points off 4th place
2011/12 - 13 points off 4th place
2010/11 - 14 points off 4th place
2009/10 - 9 points off 4th place

Challenging for 4th, not really.

In your eyes, finishing 10 points behind, practically 11 with the GD, in my eyes thats not close.

We could have finished 4th with 5 games to go, we still had everything to play for, if thats not close im not sure what is, we were 1 of 6 teams who could have finished in the top 4, doubt you could get closer, clearly at the end it wasnt to be, we picked up 2 draws away from Home at Spurs and Arse, which normally would have been decent results, sadly we then threw it all away at Sunderland.

I understand you have an agenda and yes, looking at the final table, it wasnt close, but lets not pretend that near the death it was very much on, we picked up wins at Arse and Spurs, beat Sunderland and the ****e and we would be packing our flip flops as we speak.

I'm not sure why you're bothered either way, you want to finish in the bottom half of the league. That's your ambition for the club

Saying finshing in the bottom half of the league is no worse than finishing 6th is not saying I want the former.

I want to win a trophy. Or finish in the top 4. 5th and no trophy is exactly as much a failiure as 17th and no trophy and 11th and a trophy is better than either,

And where have you had that from?

I want trophies, you want 7th place trophies, wheres your ambition?

I really think the players we have fit his system which is why i always wanted him here. Plus he has gotten the most out of realitve unkowns (McManahan, Maloney) and talented engimas (N'Zogbia). Speaking of which N'Zogbia should be available pretty cheap and there we a bunch of us clamoring for Moyes to sign him up last year.

GOOD LORD MAN. Missing out on N'Zobia was the biggest stroke of luck this club has had in a long time. You comment reminds me of the guy on Talksport yesterday who said Drenthe was the best player everton had had in the last 35 years!
