Damn, I haven't put any fuel in my car to get me to places. Any ideas? STUPID CAR
He is no better or worse than Yakubu.
Another striker who is lethal in front of goal, but lacks the all round game that is required in this day and age.
The very best strikers score goals but make a nuisance of themselves.
Rom just wants chances fed into him and that just will not happen with this current set up, and tbf, the clubs that can provide that for him, have strikers who offer this already stated: The very best strikers score goals but make a nuisance of themselves.

Unfortunately we can't attract a world class striker at the moment so when /if lukaku leaves we will end up with a lesser striker. And if that striker ran around like a headless wind up chicken non stop for the whole match (but scored less goals than Lukaku) I can't help but feel that quite a few people here would be happy with that.
Yes he looks and is lazy but he scores goals and he is the only everton player at the moment that one of the worlds top 5-6 clubs would show interest in.
Hopefully we buy in enough high profile good quality players to keep Lukaku here.
And replace them with..?No way those top 5-6 clubs in the world are interested in him. Look at all the strikers at topclubs, they have one thing in common: their technique is good enough to play in small spaces and if they're tecnically not at a top level they are a pain in the ass for defenders beacause of their movement. Lukaku hasnt got those things. He always making the wrong moves and just cant hold a ball because he has a shocking first touch. If there is a club who is stupid enough to spend 50 mil on him we'll have to accept that without a doubt. Maybe we wouldnt find a striker who scores as much goals as him but if we find someone with better hold up play and/or movement it wil benefit our whole attacking play.
Get rid of Barkley and lukaku, players without brains who add nothing to eachother, find players with vision and technique and then you'll see how much our attacking play will improve.
He doesn't want the ball to feet because it makes him look bad. That's why he points and flaps when he makes a half-hearted attempt at a 50/50 pass.
And replace them with..?
So frustrating with Rom. Clearly has ability and could be an outstanding player (and still can be) if he takes a long, hard look in the mirror, realises his weaknesses and then has the desire to do something about them. His first touch is a pass its that poor....whether that can be taught I don't know. Because its that bad you need players in and around him to pick up the ball when it pings off him...its why Naismith played well with him.
For his size and stature he's as soft as a lamb. He should be bullying defenders all game long, but I've yet to see a defender come off the pitch knowing he's been battered by Rom's physique. His work rate is low and his interest-levels are lower.
BUT, he scores goals. And that's why he'll be in demand. Not by the Super clubs, but by the next level.
Not too sure how many strikers in the world would be able to win games by having to jump for 40 yard hoof balls, have no-one AT ALL near him for him to lay it off to, and 4 defenders behind him, whilst having his back to goal for most of the game (and half way up the pitch). the fact any support players had to run from our box after the ball was hit just to make it to him, what else do you want him to do all game?
Exactly, he does exactly the same thing with long balls because he doesnt like balls in the air and having a fight with defenders.
If you start focussing on that in matches its almost embarrassing to see. He only feels comfortable when he has to run like a donkey.
