talk in one paper that Chelsea are confiden of talking us down to a british transfer record fee which means more than Pogba

I think that is a slight understatement pal. Not wanting to go down the route of sounding like a "yer da" but it does begin to rankle when he says things like it not being an option to stay with the club who employ him and with two years left on his contract.

Also regarding the not booing him, curious if you think John Stones should or shouldn't have got stick this year when he came back? Or do you think we should act indifferent to any players that leave, regardless of what esteem the fans hold them in after their moves?

What's the point of employing an agent and run your mouth off at the sametime while playing for the national team? Everton paid him and if you are not disgusted by his latest comment then okay. It's an understatement to say he is a bit disrespectful in fact I deem it is totally disrespectful while the guy remains contracted to the club for two more years. See the John Collins's column at the Express yesterday. His past comments made people feel Everton are too small and he is a much bigger figure. It does not give one a free ride even he is the best striker for this club in decades. Disrespectful means disrespectful there isn't a scale to measure the level of it. It strikes me as if he is trying to get his price down for his dream move by talking to the media in front of the camera. Ambitious is not an excuse. He can choose not to speak about it in public but he chooses not to. His agent will get him his move anyway. The thing is if he walks nobody will blame him but the relationship with the fans will not end well with all these public comments being made by the lad.
Will you guys boo him if he stays? And would you sell him on the basis that he has been disrespectful even if he did a U-turn and committed his future? Or have your minds been made up? Genuine questions.

If he stays he will get his head down like a proper employee and professional that he is and continue to smash the goals in. He is a born winner. The only one we have in our squad.

His job is to be a football player and he's doing what's best for himself. I don't really care what players' intentions are as long as they work and produce the goods, which Rom has done very well for the last 4 years. I'd prefer if he kept his mouth shut but I'd rather have him than some average 10 goal a season "would run through brick walls" striker that are ten a penny who keeps his mouth shut.

As for John Stones I think it's pathetic that he was booed. He may have made a bad move going to City but we got crazy money for him. They should be booing us if anything. But then people were booing Stones even before he left so it wasn't a surprise at all.

Booooo to any player that talks down our club, he doesn't deserve to wear the shirt!

Cash in now while stock is high and use the money to bring in 2/3/4 quality players that want to play for us.

No player is bigger than EVERTON.

Bye bye :bye: Rom

Believe he comes back and scores the winner for Chelsea at the Gwladys Street end and cups his ears or does a crying celebration.. To all you fans who want to sell him but cry when he says hes going haha!

I won't boo him if he stays, no. However that is entirely hypothetical and I believe incorrect because he is as good as gone as far as I'm concerned. Whether the fee ends up being £100m or £5m is largely irrelevant as I am convinced he will have signed for Chelsea by the end of the month. Also I have never booed any of our own players as far as I can recall.

Professional wouldn't be running his mouth every single time he was away from the club, the constant belittlement doesn't exactly help things.

If he was that much of a born winner why would he of A.) Signed for us. B.) Fluffed the biggest game he has had for us in the Semi against United. Also what is your definition of a born winner? Is it attitude or is it based on winning things? Would you class Jamie Vardy or Phil Neville as born winners?

I agree that booing on the whole can be juvenile, but that whole situation with Stones leaving was handled badly by him IMO. I also think the Anfield Derby left a bitter taste with a lot of people on Stones (when he had the squits). Also add in to the fact that he does appear to be fragile mentally, then it was really no surprise that he got stick at the City 4-0 last season. If fans sense a player is mentally weak, they will obviously play on that. The fact that he played for us shouldn't mean we should be clapping him and wishing him all the best IMO.

I do think though that he is the best striker I have seen play for us, and will certainly miss his goals. He has stayed for a lot longer than I ever imagined he would.

I will be very interested to see how his career develops after he leaves us.

If he stays of course not. Never boo a player while he is wearing an Everton shirt no matter he is Kone or McGeady. The truth is he said that in front of the camera openly...staying at Everton beyond the summer is not an option. I am not saying he is 99% not staying for another season, well if no one pay near what Everton want why shall the board sell him on bargain price or at a fee Chelski are willing to pay?
You are missing the whole point here I am afraid. I have said that if he wants to go that is fine providing he kept quiet and let the parties involved get on with their works. What is the whole point of mouthing off in front of the camera this is clearly an action to burn the bridge with Everton and in a way hoping the club would accept a lower fee because it seems Everton stand firm.
He wants to move somewhere else do you honestly think he can concentrate if he can't get his dream move this summer? After he rejected the new contract his performance was a bit off as it was affected by the interest of a certain club.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...............................

Kristof Terrur was on a podcast with the Echo and was asked about Batshuayi. He said we would have to ask about him and he would favour a move to Monaco if there is a swap deal for Bakayoko. However je said we should definitely ask about him, even a loan deal.

Think you're being generous to Lukaku there. His 'workrate' and 'interest' are what divides the supporters, it is why I am indifferent to him staying or going. It doesn't necessarily follow that him leaving means we score 25 less goals, maybe we score 25 through other players, maybe more, but for the time he's been here hardly anyone else gets a look in because we play to him, basically, and when he's not interested it shows.
The dissatisfaction is about demeaning the club, regardless of reality of the situation. Professional isn't a word I would apply to his behaviour or attitude at our club.

you mean the semi where the whole sqaud didn't show up because they wanted rid of Martinez and the fans spent the first half booing so much Barkley had to be told they weren't booing him but Martinez ? whole team was gash and the club was a mess at the time. but yes lets use it as a stick to beat Lukaku with

The last one of those we had, we clapped him for knocking us out the cup.
