to be fair, back then, we were higher in the league, were one of the top scorers and had one of the best GD's. Everyything's gone downhill since we started shoring up a bit more - we have a better attack than most of the league, i would have just kept going.
I mean if the officials weren't as bent as sin we would have won 3-2 at stamford bridge and been lauded. It has all got much much worse since that crappy decision. it probably wouldn't have, but a result like that could have been the catalyst for us to get back to somewhere respectable.
