Romelu Lukaku

I think we should accept at this stage of his career he tends to perform in streaks, and his contributions in matches will be intermittently high impact contributions.

I am sure the coaching staff at Everton will look to eradicate those patterns. Having said that he is the best goalscorer we have had at the club for 30 years, and if he stays for the duration of this contract and longer will become one of our all time high scorers.

No complaints from me, it is a pleasure to see him in a blue shirt, long may he do so.

The Esk. Making a stand for logic, reason and the 40+'s. Great post Sir.

A 20 league goal season and he'll be off when a bigger club comes calling. He has made no secret of his ambitions, not knocking him as he is upfront about it.

For any older blues out there,he's a bit "bob latchford"for me,latch used to get grief about his contribution to the team if he wasn't scoring, lazy they used to call him, poor first touch etc,but he came alive in the box, loved him,and lukaku reminds me a lot of latch and that'll do for me!

and he's only one away goal from equaling the most away goals that latch scored in a calendar year. 7 away from Dixies overall record.. not bad considering we have 7 away games (plus any possible capital one cup away ties) left.

NEA about all the speculation. It's just the same as if Ross did a big interview with the Telegraph and was asked what managers he'd like to play under and a player he admired.

Nothing of note in that article. Questions like tht get asked all the time and about other players as well. Doesn't mean he wants out for arsenal. He just wants CL so we need to get ourselves there.

And judging by the posts on this forum, a fair amount of fans would be happy about that too.
