Maybe we don't want to sell Lukaku and we have put a stupid price on his head to deter all interest? A bit like asking a builder for a quote for a job and he gives you a mental price because he doesn't really want the work at all and hopes you won't phone back.

When he was at WBA on loan, and during his loan season with us, yes, definitely, he talked a lot about wanting to do enough to impress Chelsea so they would give him a proper chance. And then they sold him to us. These days, he said he wanted a big CL club, so not Chelsea obvs. The manager that didn't give him much of a chance has moved on, so the desire to go back to Chelsea should have waned.

Same old story with the media, Everton player wants out...etc Even with Moshiri along for the ride now I didnt expect this stuff to stop, and it hasn't, very amusing really, Stones last season, Baines to United the year before, boring.
Agents and the media will always be doing this, lets just worry about what we are doing and be happy we have him and he isnt going anywhere.
