Romelu Lukaku

we really are wasting his time here. We won't be able to attract many attackers this good and we've arsed around for 3 seasons now with no playmakers. He's looked so much more affective in a front two as well, even when that's consisted of pretty average strikers like kone and valencia. Imagine what we could have achieved in his time here if we had another top class striker or a great playmaker up with him? Let's hope we address this in january

Some superb hold-up play today with good passing short and long, chased a number of lost causes, scored an absolute screamer and got an assist that he deserved after some good play in the build-up to the first goal.

11 goals and 4 assists this season.

And not a penalty in sight. Take out penalties and he's joint third in the league for goals alongside Ibra, behind only Costa and Sanchez.

I'm not sure he works well with Lennon and Mirallas as the pair supporting him.

The two of them (especially Lennon) usually seem to leave him isolated against the back 4 on his own. We lost it a bit after Calvert-Lewin went off when we were getting Lukaku in the game well in the first 20-30. We then brought him back into the game when we brought Valencia on.

If we could find a higher quality player to do the jobs Lewin and Valencia did today, we'd be on to a winner.

Usually critical of the lad but put in an absolute shift today, had a lot of freedom with DCL and Valencia creating space for him. Goal looked great from Gwladys Street too ;)

didn't look very happy today, apparently the crowd cheered when baines took the ball of him for the penalty and he looked like a sourpuss from that point onward including not really celebrating the goal.

hope we can kick on this transfer window and show him we have more ambition.

He picked the ball up after we won the pen, crowd booed, baines came over and he gave him the ball, albeit looking a bit rueful. Crowd cheered bainesy. Not a big deal from what I saw.

Took his goal for our third exceptionally well. Love seeing a striker lash it in.

rom just looked tired at the end, he did celebrate both goals, and just walked back to his position.

Was probably more arsed about us winning a game instead of celebrating like mad.
