The side was nearly always at that level with Moyes. Lukaku was at that level with Untd.
That's his level, very good but not great. He'll get a lot of goals but 'suck in' more than his fair share of 'playing resources' from other potential goalscorers doing it...Koeman sort of hinted at this with his - we'll spread the goals about quote.

The Lukaku situation was very much like Moyes situation, we were grumbling about Moyes but could see the good he did bring to our basketcase recent past, thus didn't want him to go but didn't mind if he went.

They both have obvious failings/ceilings that they haven't resolved. It is funny how the same people are pining for Lukaku and Barkley and Stones are not taking into account they all played for us and although we were better than what we are now (maybe - given Martinez's final season), we were still nowhere near and it's not like they have all pushed on to become better than what they were with us.
