Is anyone genuinely fuming about losing pre season games?

Imagine that , a set of players asked to play the same way for 3 years suddenly get told to play completely different and in a bunch of training games are still learning on how to do it?

I´m not fuming over preseason results however I do feel a certain amount of irritation regarding what´s being going to strengthen a very poor squad over the summer.

Spurs & Arsenal have better squads than us anyway (Apparently)

They want to push for the title and have champs league games.

We want to get up out of midtable.

Makes no odds.....it is all relative.

As they see it, their clubs are not signing the quality players they need to kick on from where they are now.

Which is exactly why people on here are lambasting the club for our lack of signings.

(not me, I have to add....I still cling to the "best squad in 30 years" mantra from last season and believe that the addition of, say Mata and Williams over the next month would have us racing up that table )

What are you on about? How does your "getting players for the next seasons" differ from just plain old signing players? Usually new signings don´t sign a contract just for a couple of games, do they.

Simple mate, we could buy 'lesser' players now, but would be looking to replace them again next season. Instead, we get the players we want before buying the quick fix type.

I'm not really bothered if it was him who decided to extend his contract or not to be honest. He didn't sign the player, and the club clearly didn't want to let him go in a free if there was any chance of a sell on fee.

We´ve looked exactly like what we are, a squad of middling premier league players with a couple of frustrated want-away players of higher quality. Add to that the difference between us and say Stoke and West Ham who have squads of similar quality is that our players look absolutely shot psychologically. There seems to be no fight or togetherness in them whatsoever.

It was seen as some huge failure that 12,000 people turned up to a fitness game. It's absolute madness. The difference between that dross and a competitive match is worlds apart.

Nothing to do with the results of friendlies, everything to do with the fact no promises have been delivered on and he's left the squad a mess 6 days from the opening day.

Has he improved the squad? Has he moved us closer to the ''elite' of europe. Has he frig. lol
