No mate. 7th is still 7th. And it's still nowhere.
Finishing 7th in this league is nothing to sniff at, the team above us have spent ludicrous money building teams over long periods of time. Sign some players in January, potentially qualify for Europa League. Thats a great debut season, hopefully we can push on and build on the squad and the club - then play champions league football in our new stadium on the docks!
He also had us 5th. That's a finishing position Koeman will never take us to.

Yep. Cyphering was his strongpoint too. His and Mout's. Top of the class by at least 2 foot.Jethro from the Beverly Hillbillies?
You answered your own question right at that point.Your a weird one davek ... so 7th is 7th.. ok... that's fair enough...
Yet you constantly argue that el boss man was better than Moyes because he got 72 points in a season... (5th)
Even tho Moyes got 4th and a number of 5th and 6th place finishes?
And he done this with no net spend...
You literally would argue with your shadow
You answered your own question right at that point.
No, I dont think he would either. I think he knows what side his bread is buttered on and will do enough to have supporters pacified, though not enthused, thrilled and dreaming of great football and success - which takes a manager who has a vision and acts boldly in every game. That came off for Roberto in one season and failed in two others. C'est la vie.Massive statement that is dave. Nor I cannot see Koeman would get us 11th-13th two seasons in a row.

He's a steady as you go boss.
What you possibly mean to say is that Moyes was here almost four times as long as Martinez and had the time to get decent positions in the league (as well as nearly relegating us with our worst points total for 50 years in one season). But Moyes is not the coach Martinez is. Martinez is a great attacking coach whereas Moyes is a bang average coach in all aspects of the game. Do you think one of the best international outfits in the world would ever employ Moyes? They did Martinez, and therein essentially lies the difference: Martinez is a thinker and a strategist; Moyes was just a dinosaur Sgt Major...an analogue manager in a digital world, as they say.Moyes got 4th X 1, 5th x 2, 6th X 2, 7th X 3. He is superior to the previous manager.
Big Joe won the FA Cup. Another greater achievement don't you agree?
