Ronald Koeman discussion

I am looking at the players.

I like them.

I have no resentment toward them for how much money they make nor do I believe I own their time because I am a fan of the club they happen to play for right now.

I think they are very good at football.

I reject they are any more lazy than any other group of players in a similar tax bracket.

Koeman is far more over paid than any player (okay not Gibson but most of them).

Many of them have finished 5th or higher in the league, been to semis or better of Cups.

I roundly reject your and Koeman's claim that this group of players are under talented and that 7th with this squad is a great job.

I think everyone is being manipulated to turn on the players for a reason and that reason is to cover up failures in the transfer market and failures by the manager to get this team playing good football.
I couldn't care less what you think.

Its gonna take time. We need a major rebuild and that won't happen overnight.

Some people need to face reality and accept the fact we are gonna be crap for another season at least.

The comparisons between Koeman supporters and Trump supporters are ceaseless. This obsession with meaningless outward bluster that accomplishes nothing but makes people FEEL better. He's going to clean up the swamp of lazy entitled players!

So this squad is bottom half quality and his masterful motivation skills have boosted the players?

Which players have really noticeably improved?

Some would suggest the fact you can SEE all his motivations is a problem. Public humiliation is not the only tool in the tool kit for a manager.

It's possible he's a coward who says nothing to the player's faces.

It's possible to be a hard arse no nonsense manager without ever conducting any of your hard arse motivation in the public eye.

The fact YOU feel more motivated publicly and YOU prefer Koeman is quite frankly irrelevant.

To YOU. Others feel differently amazingly enough. The players for instance.

YOU can see.

He made sure the team knew it at the start of the season!

Blaming his tools like all great craftsman. The same core finished 5th. Did aging make them less strong? Or in the last two years is *strength* just more important now? Is anything anyone is saying here grounded in an ounce of reality?

*Should* being the word bad managers use to explain why things went wrong.

"Well I did this and then they should have done that."

"No I didn't check if they did it ... because I did the proper thing so they should do the proper thing too!"

"This shouldn't be so over budget."

"This shouldn't be so far past schedule."

Moyes got 7th in his first full season with BK's neg net spend Everton and Martinez got 5th with BK TV money Everton but Koeman cannot be judged on his first season because it's not fair to judge someone on their first full season because it's not enough time to do well ... aside from our last two managers who did it with less resources but because we don't like them we will pretend this somehow is a real thing and also ignore West Ham and Southampton and Chelsea and the RS and all the multiple recent examples of teams doing well with a coach in his first year.

Yeah I agree with that other poster you do sound like a Koeman.

Bit of a let down all of that. No umph just flat. Have you just learned how to multi quote and now are over doing it.

.. and here comes another one. Can't just *actually* ignore something ... has to let everyone publicly see how much they don't care. Keep em coming. Soon the entire thread will be people saying how much they don't care about my opinion.

Hell of a post mate.

I understand you just got here this season with your brother but last year he had more assists than Fabregas, Firmino, Navas, Sissoko, Giroud, Llana, Rooney and lots more. 11th in the league in assists but he can't get a game for us this year? I mean just how did that happen last year if he's so terrible? Is it possible he's good at football?

No i'm not. Deulofeu wasnt a first 11 player with his last 3 coaches and he's still not a first 11 player with this coach yet people still keep saying that he's so good and he should start. He only gets hyped because he was one of the big barca talents 4 years ago. Same with Bojan Krikic, he scored more goals than Messi in Barca youth but couldnt even make it in the dutch league with Ajax.
