Ha ha. FFS how many clubs more than four do you require before you accept the feller can cause murder in an empty house.

Are you actually disputing the fact he's known to cross swords with his own players?

Unreal if you are.

Who cares if he has fallen out with players?
Every manager does. Every player who isnt playing hates the manager.
Nothing point.

Yeah he should spend all day blowing smoke up their skirts and telling the world how phenomenal they are after yet another dire display of half arsed nothingness, as that worked well.

Oh wait...

Give it up ffs. You backed a complete donkey of a manager to the death, more fool you, get over it.

No mate I am simply pulling you up yet again on you stating something as fact.

This time he has fell out with players at every club he's managed, when actually he hasn't.

How many clubs do I require you to list was your question, well answer is mate, when you categorically state every club he's fallen out with players, then I expect you to be able to list every club.

You couldn't therefore your statements a lie.

in Davek defense, we did have the highest point accumulation ever under Roberto, progressed far in the Europa the second year, and made it two 2 semis in year 3.
Let's address all these none achievements one at a time shall we:

1) The points total is completely irrelevant and always has been. It's were you finish that counts. We finished fifth a few times under David Moyes and it was as irrelevant then as it is now. Moyes finishing fourth was far the more impressive season, it's simple logic. Would you take second with 87 points over first with 79? Of course you wouldn't! The whole argument is nonsense. This is a total non achievement full stop.

2) So what if we did well in the Europa League and had a nice little run, it amounted to nothing! The run in 07-08 under Moyes was far better and still achieved nothing. If it wasn't for an awful first leg in Florentinena (only bad performance we had that whole run) we'd probably of gone all the way. The second leg at Goodison made me proud of the lads for their efforts even if we lost. Our eventual exit under Martinez left me completely embarrassed and was a disgraceful showing.

3) Ah the old two semi finals line! When are people going to finally understand that semi-finals isn't an achievement of any kind?! We aren't Millwall and reaching a semi-final isn't something to be proud of at this club. In any event we crashed and burned in both semi-finals in the normal Martinez style of total collapse.

Can we finally put this to bed that Martinez achieved absolutely nothing at this club other then failure despite what his acolytes would have you believe. He deserved the sack the scorn he gets from most blues.

We've been dumped out of both cups in the 3rd round and went on a run of 1 win in 10 in the league. Our season is effectively over.

However Koeman hasn't had much to work with and does deserve a chance despite it shaping up to be a fairly forgettable season.

I'll bet any money that when Koeman leaves our club our average finishing position is higher than Martinez'

Anyone got the bottle to bet?

Stupid bet/statement, said in exaggeration for emphasis - but you knew that.

It's not what position you get at the end of the season - It's how you play getting there...it's about perceptions - you know this as well.

Martinez's 1st season (5th) was perceived as 'good'
His Ave. is 9th
Everton's life time average since 1888 is 9 point something
This makes Martinez average
But on the whole he is perceived as Poor.
Some might say that Moyes was perceived as average
Yet his average of 7.5 says he was better than that.

Using those sort of Averages as a method to gauge success at football is only...how shall I put it, oh yes - Average...

It's about Glory, about how you play, it's about Cups, it's about Vernon and Kay smoking cigars in the mainstand, It's about Kendall Ball and Harvey, It's about a slip at Oxford...It's even about Slippy's slip, that's got to be in there too. Bayern Munich, Rotterdam, It's about N Korea Vs Portugal in 1966.
What it isn't about is 'Kin Averages
*Calms - but you know that too.

Finishing 16th to 7th is not too difficult
6th is a bit harder
5th is a bit harder still

The real hard job is getting 4th

And the even harder job is staying there on a regular basis.

Mid term; at the end of 3 yrs watching this sort of football and only the 7th-ish trophy to show for it, Koeman might have a bit of convincing to do if...IF he is asked 'Do you think your contract should be extended?'...(whether he wants it to be only he will know that)

Long term, which nowadays I and many others, like it or not, take to be 4+yrs, that or the lack of it is what will determine where Koeman is by (in more ways than one) then.

meandered a bit but I got there in the end.
