Ronald Koeman discussion

Yes.

After the last few seasons we've had, it's just nice to be in an environment where the team and fans are pulling in the same direction. It's good to see an Everton team fight for the shirt again. The Arsenal and City games are two of my favourites i've ever been to. United, West Ham, So'ton and Tottenham were enjoyable. The derby broke my heart but the atmosphere was the best in a derby for a long time.

I'd agree the style of play needs work, and we may find frustration again in some of these games coming up against the lesser teams. But in general, yes it is far, far more fun for me.

About a million times more happy going the match than I was in the last two seasons.

It felt like a chore near the end of Martinez reign.

Koeman has made me enjoy it because I know he is working on making us better and I've seen the progress. Yes there have been some bumps in the road but I can see what he is going for.

I've just renewed my season ticket an hour ago.

I feel like were going places.

I'm not fully convinced by our new boss yet, but that's good to hear though.

ha

I don't really care about resale. Get a player in that fits the need at that moment in time.

at times that might be a 33yo that will only give a couple of top seasons but might make all the difference in that time.
Personally never understand the resale debate from a fan's perspective.
"We won't make a profit so it's a no from me"

"FFS Everton and your effing negative net spend."

o_O

Ha I was joking about resale value.

Enjoyed waving the fingers at city fans yesterday, look of confusion from them priceless.

in fairness Martinez first season was miles above anything we are seeing now.

There were plenty of crap games that season too, especially at the start

I still remember that turgid trip to Cardiff for a lousy 0-0 for instance

Yes, that 3-0 over Arsenal was fantastic, but yesterdays win was great in it's own different way

I'm seeing gradual improvement at the moment. Still a lot of work to do and the scoreline yesterday was helped by City's defence being rubbish and their keeper being a walking punch line, but we still had to work for those four goals and I'm seeing positive signs

This is going to take time, but Koeman is getting some points on the board at the moment and is also gradually getting us to be a little bit more entertaining to watch. We're not there yet, but this is an ongoing process and I'm choosing to be patient

They were crap and there for the taking. And we were at home. I'm coming around to Koeman, but our best short term chances for a cup need to be taken seriously when discussing performances

We did take it seriously

They play the counter attack really well and they "Leicestered" us

It happens sometimes

Koeman put out a team strong enough to win that game

I don't know how much blame you could lay at his feet for that one. Yeah, Barkley off for Kone wasn't the best call, but he also brought Del on as lots of people wanted and it led to goal

I'm not saying he didn't take it seriously, I'm saying we should take our performances in the cups seriously when assessing him. He's gotten a massive "F" in that department thus far
