Everton, Everton.
Your just still buzzing from the fumes of The Clevs studs getting dragged along the M1 towards Watford
Just to confirm I don't have a clue if the M1 leads anyone to Watford, I'm just assuming the M1 leads everyone to wherever they have to get to at some point in a car journey
I'm a nobody who barely posts on here, so my opinion shouldn't be worth much. Honestly, though, he makes the board unreadable. I've barely logged in here the past few weeks because every thread is the exact same thing, over and over, in almost every thread. Difference of opinion is fine but the repetitiveness of it all I can do without. I'm sure I'm not alone.
My analysis: we won against a relegation outfit. Of course all you can do is win, but we are where we are in the league.
Come back when we're challenging for a CL spot and Ill do cartwheels.
lol. I don't know what's wrong with you mate your never ever happy
And for the umpteenth time, I'm saying you're talking nonsense if you're saying 7th this season is bare minimum.
I think 7th is the bare minimum this season.
You're right, I didn't mean it in that context, I does read that way, what I mean is that if Koeman finishes 7th this season it doesn't necessarily mean he's done the bare minimum that can be expected, given where we've come from and the head start the expected top 6 had on us. Of course for any of the bottom 12 to catch us now would be a poor do.
Yeah, I call them the sensational six. It's almost impossible now to break into the top 5.Wonder why we slipped out of the 5? lol
Anyway, the 6 now are miles better than what we had to compete with those three years ago.
Personally Dave i don't think any criticism is justifiable in his first season, observatoins i will accept. He was left a shambles, an ill disciplined un-fit squad. These issue's had to be addressed first, he then had to impose on the squad how he required them to play. All this he has put in place in 6 months. To get any higher in the league will take some considerable investment and time
Dirty lad, guess what, if Mourinho and Guardiola hand in 5th and 6th finishes they are under the cosh and their jobs are hanging by a thread. If you think that given the new level of spending our manager can or will get away with a 7th place finish next season without feeling the wrath of dissatisfaction you are living in a dream world. But with coaches like Mourinho and Guardiola we would be contenters for top 4!!! They're struggling with man utd and man city to be in top 4 and they spend 300 million on players you utter joke.
davek taking pure wickets here.
So that's all put in place now is it? And in a few weeks time when/if we're back into losing form it'll be ok to ask what's happened given that fitness and disciplinary issues have all been solved?
He's getting his time.
Look, here's the situation as I see it expectation wise:
7th this season = fair enough
7th next season = not good enough, but not sackable, just a good sign that after 4 windows and his own squad largely in place he can't get us where we want.
Any failure in a third season (if he's still here) to make an assault on a CL spot is grounds for dismissal.
Having seen what this feller has done elsewhere and what he's done here I think he's a steady Eddie who doesn't have that certain creative spark that squeezes out the necessary extra points to convert an also ran into a CL spot team.
I think everyone knows that I do. It was a poor post originally from me.lol
FFS. You know your own mind, Ian.
Lol.
Nope. He's bored most to tears tonight. Also, judging by your Twitter TL you disagree entirely with him.davek taking pure wickets here.
Did you just quote Dr Dre in reference to Dave? He's untouchable. Like Elliott Ness.
