To be fair it appears we are causing some of the problems with Dave. He has stated that unless we are challenging the top 4 he isn't bothered with Koeman. As soon as we win a lot of people are then trying to get a response from him which ends up with the same old chaff.

I would ask, nay implore people to not tag him in this way as you already know what is going to happen.

No mate, my position on this lot is consistent (unlike others): they have always been very capable of playing better football than the muck served up by Koeman until very recently. But they have ALWAYS BEEN AND REMAIN bottlers.

I do mate. I've stated the manager is on schedule this season.

But here's the issue for me: this season effectively ended earlier this month as a competitive entity. These players are very very good at performing when the pressure is off. If anyone thinks we'll be seeing a true representation of where they are at (and by extension how their manager is performing) they are sadly mistaken. We all know how much these players are bottlers when it matters. We can hold on to 7th this season but it's the first half of next season we'll see where we are and whether Koeman has changed matters.

I absolutely agree with your earlier assessment that Koeman needs to be challenging the top 4 by 2 years time (assuming the board do their bit.)

But to suggest he's not doing well this season is utterly absurd. We're well above the lowly 13th of last year. And Ron is slowly starting to overhaul the squad by removing the dross. It's a slow rebuild but the progress is evident. We're playing better and a harder team to beat. Lots more to go before we get where we want to be but it's a heck of a lot better.

I think Davek has proven it's all about attention and trolling people in his threads.

What kind of idiot would 'expect' Koeman to beat teams with that level of spending, other than Davek?

He'll no doubt move on in a few years, as that's his style, but the days of worrying about getting a quality replacement are over.

Our season was very much alive this time last season, for example.

Don't be fooled by these bottling players now racking up a few points that our sky's are blue in the future. These games have no pressure and that's no test for them. First half of next season is the time to judge them and the manager. Things will become VERY clear then.

He comes in off the long run and delivers it into the body like a young Michael Holding.

Genuine LOL at anyone who thinks that having a net spend of £30 or £50 million in the transfer market in the next two windows means we automatically should be competing for a place in the top 6.

As I've said before, the wage bill for the top 6 sides dwarf ours. Arsenal for example spend around £100 million a year more - that's not even including transfer fees.

It's going to take time, it's going to take enormous amounts of money, and it's going to take incredibly wise decisions by all involved for us to properly break into this top 6.

Tell that to deluded davek.
