Dirty lad, Southampton were synonymous with bringing through young players and turning them into stars. If the production line is now spluttering (which it does my appear to be anyway) then factor Koemans time there as a reason the process isn't what it was.

I'm sorry but you really don't know anything about football do you??? Players develop through youthteams by youth coaches en when they're good enough they will reach the first team. Then their career starts and the manager of the first team has to help them to fulfill their potential.

When they're not good enough and the potential isnt there the first team manager doesnt want them. Is that really to hard to understand???

There's never been a club in the world where they can add 2 or 3 youth players every two years. You always have periods when there isnt that much talent to choose from. But hey Lets just blame Koeman!!!!

So was just looking at our last 3 manager stats across all clubs and our current guy doesn't seem to be all that bad.....

Koeman games 630 win% 54.44
Roberto Martinez games 450 win% 39.8
David Moyes games 872 win% 43.12

Koeman certainly has the edge overall and has a slight edge so far in his Everton career. I want to be positive and say that I think he is going to bring back Evertons fighting spirit.

As many have said mate - he doesn't favour playing them, because most of the time they aren't good enough. The statement that he has a reasonless agenda against young players is utter wham.

Look at the young talent he brought through at Ajax, PSV, Valencia etc. I believe he gave both Zlatan and Mata their debuts, to name a few. No one in Southampton's youth side is good enough to consistently start for the first team and usually most academy players in any team never even make more than 1 appearance for their clubs if any.
