If only it was that simple.

Fact is, those desperate to criticise are leaping in. Absolutely no level headed posts coming from the critics whatsoever.

As seen when his record V 'big teams' is being criticised.

I'm not desperate to crtiticise him but, it is ok to do so and still be an Everton supporter.
He has got some things wrong in selection of players, formation and tactics etc. All managers do but, this he's 'right about everything' mentality only leads to disappointment. He should be properly judged when he has his team in place, until then we are allowed to call him out, when obvious slips are made.

The fault lies with the current and previous manager for this IMO.

Our attacking options all fall under a mix of these categories - young, inexperienced, crap, average, headless chicken or no footballing brain. You can take one or two of any of those for all our attackers.

It annoys me that we have no footballing nous and experience in that final third after 8 windows under two managers.

I'd like to kick them both in the balls for this glaring error.
Spot on

Only if you praise him when we win

Martinez is no longer to blame.

We were building momentum on the counter and Mirallas was a big part of that. The sub was wrong and it invited pressure. We are poor away from home especially against the top teams which looking at the squad is inevitable, but the manager's decisions tonight have cost us two points.

We work hard off the ball and we scrap, that's the only improvement I see in this team under Koeman. He needs to show more attacking substance in his signings, his team selection and tactics if he thinks he can get us into champions league places.

7th in his first year, likely back in Europe, team has gotten better as the year has gone. Very good first season as much as we could have expected. Our development will be a process rather than an event.

Agree mate- Going from where Koeman found us to where he wants us to be will not be like flipping a switch. Real change is happening at the most realistic pace it can. If we wanna be playing high level it will mean more nights like tonight, frustration against the big boys means you're beginning to feel like one of them. A lot of intelligent people working hard to get 7 teams into four places, it's a tricky job, but in Everton's case patches of real quality are starting to come through. With a squad of quality players Koeman would be terrifying. Hope it's Everton where it happens for him.
