Ronald Koeman discussion

Wouldn't that be a bit like the Ross thread though?
He was [Poor language removed] for ages apparently and then suddenly became a great player again?
Possibly.

But if Ross has a good/great game, you you or someone decides to criticise him on that day, then on the day he has a bad game, it's hard to take the criticism seriously.

Koeman has made good progress this season after the utter mess the spanish charlatan left us in - setting us back years. 7th and an EL place would do for me. Next season is when we need to start knocking on the door of the top four - a big summer if the ambition is to be fulfilled.

Agreed, from 13th to 7th will do for me.

We were 30 seconds and a left back taking a right foot volley away from winning at OT, which would've been our managers 3rd victory there in the bounce.

Nobody is perfect.

Bloody sky! I didn't know you could transfer results from different season/clubs/managers etc and use them as your own.
Wait (my sky broadband is a bit slow), no apparently you can't. So at least a couple of away Soton games, we can't have.
Never mind, he's nearly perfect then.

He's a watered down davek who looks to have decided to test the Mods because he's pissed that Eric djemba-djemba and Sagey were banned.
Sagey is unbanned and Eric is with us in spirit.

Sad to learn how you really feel about Sap mate - I hope that you can reconcile your differences.

Possibly.

But why is most of your energy spent on a poster who you obviously think is either severely biased or is just trolling? I think there's balanced criticism of the boss to engage with instead.

I haven't changed my opinion of Koeman greatly throughout the season really, through good and bad. He is ok and won't do any worse than average/good but I don't think he will do anything great with us. He does however deserve his two season minimum that all bar disastrously poor managers should really get. Hopefully I'm proved wrong and he is success and here for a while, because I don't really want us to be changing boss every two or three seasons.

You can't, but you can look at patterns.

Are you saying you'd rather a manager who'd taken 0 points from 6 instead of Koeman who took 6 from 6?

Honestly mate, if you look at where my 'energy' is focused, you'd realise it's not as high a % dedicated the way you're suggesting it is, certainly not as high % as you spend defending him and DEFINITELY not as high of a % as you spend qualifying yourself when you respond to him, by telling him 'you agree with alot of what he says'

The thing about playing the young lads is the only way you find out if they are good enough is by playing them in big games against good opposition. It might not work all.the time but it's how you find out. We are going to finish 7th barring a miracle or a disaster so it's worth a risk imo

I'm not trying to make you see double but, I didn't get that.

I'd be surprised if i post a quarter as much as you though Ian, and i doubt as much of that as you are suggesting is to do with your friend.
