I know what your saying but its going to need a manager who doesn't just see Everton as a stepping stone to bigger and better things to get
us in the top 4. We will need somebody who does not even contemplate answering questions about other clubs.

They dont exist.

Now if you are saying we could do with a manager who doesn't admit that he would like to be elsewhere then fair enough....

He's asked about it all the time though. Do you want him to lie and say Everton is his dream job? Don't be so naive it doesn't make a difference him saying what he says.

I'm not being naïve, is it too much to ask our manager who is paid six million pound a year to keep his mouth shut when asked about
other clubs. No wonder Lukakau et al don't want to re-new their contracts with this fella's attitude.

I wish him well in recruiting new players in the summer by the way.

We have won nothing for over 20-years yet some believe this should be your dream job? First we need to get back to being successful, as in success meaning that we win things before we start calling this a dream job. Let's be realistic.

I look at all of this in a slightly different way.
I have always known that Barca/Koeman was very similar to Everton/Kendall. There are jobs that can't be refused for some. It is the job of their dreams, it is finally coming home.

It doesn't work out for many.

Koeman makes no secret of his love for Barca, but it shows to me that it may take a job of this magnitude to tempt him away from the Everton "project".
I am not at all certain for instance that the Arsenal job would tempt him away....at the moment .
Koeman has a challenge in front of him at Everton that he would appear to relish. It is obvious that promises have been made to him about availability of money and if the club delivers on these promises I think it will take something very big to tempt him away...if the club doesn't deliver fully that may change.

I am not sure I am the one that is confused.
You quoted Conte as a manager that is happy in his job....who would have thought that ?
You mentioned Klopp..a manager that has spoken already about the day he leaves Liverpool.
You mentioned Wenger, is he in charge at Arenal next season ?, he refuses to confirm that.
Mourinho rarely stays at any club longer than 3 years and one of those is already gone at Utd.

Conte, ironically is separated from his family who continue to live in Italy and he has been asked by the media if he intends to return to Italy for family reasons.

Koeman is possibly guilty of being honest and direct when answering questions.
But, the job of most managers is short and ends in failure..just like politicians.
