Ronald Koeman discussion

A mate of mine saw Koeman at Knutsford Services the other day. He said he came across as a really nice guy and was happy to chat etc.

When he asked Koeman about the Swansea match he said that he started sobbing audibly. And he said something along the lines of: "We played poorly in South Wales. The fans deserve better. But okay, that is football. Next season we will be better."

I have a famous face

Nah I do like his press conferences a lot. No bull ever. Clear and says everything he can.

I will give my final season verdict after we've lost to Arsenal.

What he said
Unless the board keep their promises to back Koeman and invest heavily in the squad.
We were promised Marquee signings last summer and they never happened.
Moshiri has said if it happens again then heads will roll.
100 m plus any outgoing sales money is the minimum required.
Even with 100 m
GK 25 m
Keane 25 m
VVD /Koubailly or a CB of that ilk 50 m
That's the 100 m gone and no money spent on midfield or attacking players.
So I can see Koeman getting rid of 5/6 players to raise 60/70 million for more incomings.
And that's keeping Barclay and Lukaku

But if Koeman is not given the cash and promises that were made to him are not
kept then you can't blame him for a poor season next year

We need 5 quality players as you mention: GK, 2 CB's, AM and a striker
My shouts would be; Timo Horn (release clause of £18m), Keane £20m, Van Dijk £45m, Rooney free, Dolberg £20m.
Throw in this Sandro for £5m and a few other Walsh masterstrokes.
