Well no misunderstanding there then. If it was a really low offer I think the agent would probably have grumbled in public so I guess it is not exactly stunning in the bubble that is premier league football or he thinks he can get to a CL club. One year ago today we awoke from a long nightmare.

We sacked him FFS , sad , I was kin thrilled
This honestly baffles me.
The lad has just turned 20, is an England U20 regular and has just moved up from lg 1.
He's hardly played 10 games for us, and in those 10 games he's been used out wide which isn't his position. But he's a grafter, has good movement and helps support Rom.
Unbelievable stuff writing some kid off like that.

I'm assuming this is an act of desperation on the part of the club. An attempt to drum up business for the player who they know they can't automatically get rid of as he could turn any potential move down to the detriment financially of the club.
My view is if Koeman hadn't bullied him early in the season he would have signed at Christmas.

If Koeman didn't 'bully' him then Ross would be getting sold for about 10m. The bullying made him a better player therefore needed it. Koeman is also saying that we want Ross to sign so obviously he wants him here and the only thing holding him back is what the club think the contract is worth and what Ross thinks he is worth.

Sure he can defend a bit better now but he's clearly an inferior player offensively to what he was in first season and even compared to last season.
