Ronald Koeman discussion

Anyone else read into the body language Koeman was giving off when asked about Lukaku during the press conference?

Well no misunderstanding there then. If it was a really low offer I think the agent would probably have grumbled in public so I guess it is not exactly stunning in the bubble that is premier league football or he thinks he can get to a CL club. Never quite expected that a few weeks ago. At least we will know before the summer!!!

My only criticism of him is his love in of DCL. I hope that lad is nowhere near the first team squad next season.

This honestly baffles me.

The lad has just turned 20, is an England U20 regular and has just moved up from lg 1.

He's hardly played 10 games for us, and in those 10 games he's been used out wide which isn't his position. But he's a grafter, has good movement and helps support Rom.

Unbelievable stuff writing some kid off like that.

Out of interest, were you one of the ones calling for more youth players to be played earlier this season?

I'm assuming this is an act of desperation on the part of the club. An attempt to drum up business for the player who they know they can't automatically get rid of as he could turn any potential move down to the detriment financially of the club.

My view is if Koeman hadn't bullied him early in the season he would have signed at Christmas.

perhaps he's getting a bit miffed that he keeps getting asked questions about the same topics in every presser when he's been giving the same answer each time. I find sports journalists pretty crap at asking questions.

If Koeman didn't 'bully' him then Ross would be getting sold for about 10m. The bullying made him a better player therefore needed it. Koeman is also saying that we want Ross to sign so obviously he wants him here and the only thing holding him back is what the club think the contract is worth and what Ross thinks he is worth.

Did it ? Did it really ? I'm not buying that anymore and filing it under myth.

Sure he can defend a bit better now but he's clearly an inferior player offensively to what he was in first season and even compared to last season.
