Look at Arsenal, Sanchez was being sold, but only if they could bring in a striker to replace him, they couldn't and he had to stay, he walks free in May.

Lukaku had 2 years left, we should never have agreed to sell him without a replacement lined up, it is now looking to be a massive balls up by all involved, it was common sense to get a striker in to replace Lukaku.

Dwelling on the result and performance as my lad was driving us home, we found ourselves running alongside a top of the range white Mercedes on the 50mph section of the M62 at Warrington. The driver was Mo Salah. I couldn't resist pressing the palm of my outspread hand on the window and mouthing five times to him as he looked across.

Well we will find out in the next 3 months how good he is, because there is a good blend to be found in there, he's got some talented players, but he's not picking the right team and tactics at present.

Reminds me of Mike Walker. The players where much better than the results as was proven soon after.

Martinez inherited a team with a great well drilled defence and bolted a good attack on it but failed in his second season when he put more of his own stamp on it. Is the same happening to Koeman in reverse (inheriting a good attack and instilling discipline in the team in his first season)?
