Ronald Koeman discussion

The one thing I wanted to see was how gutsy and brave Koeman was in big matches. Unfortunately if he even managed to win the next 4/5 games I'm still not convinced he has the tactical nous or the ability to motivate players to win the big matches under pressure. We will still lose both the derbies, you can quote me in on that and we don't even have a plan to try and win the big matches. I've seen enough to now believe he will not be bringing Everton any silverware. The most he'll do is keep us around 7th/8th till our stadium's complete and then will be shown the door. Alternatively he may not be offered a new deal as well.

Next four games are massive now. Results wise I expected us to lose vs Chelsea, Spurs and Man Utd and the Man City point was a bonus. The performances have been shocking but if there's a silver lining to that it's that id rather we were poor in games I expect us to lose anyway rather then in games we should be winning. All four games coming at home and all four are winnable these games will be make it break time for Koeman imo.
Ya. Defo make or break time. If he cant get those wins he will be gone by december.

Off you go Ronald.

He got a bit of leeway from loads because of the set of fixtures we got dealt at the start of the season. The way we're playing though we aren't coming out of the next 5 any better than we did the first 5 and that's nearly a third of the season done, with us in big trouble.

Happy to see Ronald go, just pay the compensation and get rid. Poor appointment to start with and hired on name alone rather than basing it on actual managerial ability. Sadly the Mosh has called it wrong in his attempt to look like billy big bollocks and land a big name. Unsworth to take charge for the season and try and undo the damage that Ronalds done and take it from there.

Let's get it straight.

That was our best display in four games.

Weirdly enough, our heaviest defeat.

It isn't all on Koeman. Mourinho made some great changes and we missed two big chances.

They were clinical, we weren't.

Koeman, though, is under real pressure. Now it's games where we have to be on top and control the game and we need the wins. Simple.

Yep. Right. But alternatively he will be sacked. Just cant take to him.

The thing is that Bournemouth and Burnley both have a system and a set starting eleven.

EFC have nothing like that. It could be a really dicey few months. Especially as RK's tactics are two bob...

Starting without a winger and no number 9 is a suicide note. Yet he keeps doing it...
We are typical example of buying good players that don't fit in together, I've the years as much as some got slated we had Hibbert,Osman,Neville,Carlsey types that seemed to join up the better players. I'm not saying we should be looking at players like them now, but you need a balance something we haven't got.

Mourinho, here:

"They had chances, with the quality they have. I am pretty sure Everton are going to be fine, they are going through a difficult moment. Honestly the fixtures they got, I wouldn't like those all at once. To play against all of them, like they are doing, is not fair."

So that's all right then ;)

Jose.....Sean Dyche waves hello :bye:

(that said, it was a much better effort today)

.....and Atalanta....

We're not playing well but hopefully that'll change with easier fixtures. From the same games last year we got 2 more points... The damage that's been done in these first 5 games isn't terminal.

It's been a horrible start for lots of reasons but the performance today was improved and I'm optimistic for things improving over the coming weeks.
