Ronald Koeman discussion

Lets face it, we are on a dreadful trot.

But today we played well. We carried a goal threat, and on another day, could have walked out with 1, maybe, at a stretch, 3 points. They scored a worldy on 3 minutes, and 3 in the last 5 minutes or so. One a mistake, one a pen, one dead scruffy. Not like we were carved open.

We were awful in Italy mind. IMO, Koeman will sort this. Signs were there today. Just had one of them days.

It's so obvious this is the case if you just take a step back and understand why this start has happened. Yes, it's frustrating as hell but there's reasons behind why we're here.

If we go through the next couple of months and it's still bad then that's the time to worry. But not after you've had the fixtures we have with the changes in the squad.

On 80 minutes I even said to the missus it's ridiculous we aren't winning the match let alone drawing as we were making all the running, pushing higher up, they were on the back foot. Such a woeful pass from Williams and it all unravelled very quickly

I think he'll be under pressure though mate to get 4 wins out of 4 coming up

Top 6 was no longer an option when the board and Walsh failed to bring in a striker to replace Lukaku. Blame Koeman all you want, his tactics, team selection, etc however, more questions should be asked as to why was Lukaku allowed to leave without a replacement signed at the beginning of the window.

Forget top 6 play for top 10.

Burnley have had tough ones like, it's no excuse.

Had a mare recently. Need to hammer your boys on Wednesday (sorry! ;) ) now

Hopefully you come on here to praise Koeman to the hilt should we turn over Burnley in a couple of weeks time as they are such a quality side that we can only aspire to.

Your post is just ridiculously knee jerk though. We've lost our two best attacking players, completely overhauled the squad and had a nightmare run of fixtures. Whilst no one wants to be in the position we're in it's understandable why it's happened.

Things can change very quickly in this game. We've got some very winnable games coming up that'll hopefully allow the lads to grow in confidence. You can shout from the rooftops about how bad we've been. It doesn't need to be done, we can all see it with our eyes. Hopefully you can be feeling a lot happier in a couple of months time when things have settled down and this nightmare start has been put to bed.

I got to 'winnable games' and stopped. Sorry mate.

Not scored for 4 games. Barely a shot on target in all 4 of those games. Knee jerk after watching the 8 games so far this season ?

Formations all over the place. Hasn't a clue who our best 11 is. Hasn't a clue who should play where. Weird tactics.

Aye

Just a question roydo, how many times can you say a 4-0 defeat was just 'one of them days?'.

There is signs which are positive but how long genuinely can you give a manager yo get it right? Remember Jose and Chelsea a couple of years back? As much as Chelsea were champions there wasn't any turning it around for jose. What point in the season realistically do we see That?

A few wins out of the next 4 and all of a sudden we gave a season again so I hope we are sitting here in a few weeks bemoaning our had luck.

But just as it occurred to me, Martinez last season was bad luck and one of those days at the start of the season, then we went into new year with like 5 wins and 3 of them were the bottom 3, just all of us hoping and praying it was just bad luck.
