this 'WE HAVENT PLAYED ANY1 DECENT YET THO' thing really annoys me.

every game you play in the prem is against a tough opponent, there is quality all over the prem.

You literally have to beat these sides to actually get into europe.

momentum as well mate. Goes a long way. We were all ( not just Evertonians but fans in general) taking the piss last season with Leicester as in "it's only 5 games in they will soon fail. Then it was 10 games, then 15, then Christmas came and they then started to grind out 1-0 wins. Momentum means you can very quickly grab a couple of wins and propel yourself up to the top. That's what we've done, beaten what's in front of us and by the time we face the so called big boys hopefully we will still have that momentum with us

Pretty sure someone won the Prem recently-ish by beating every single side outside the top 6 and having an abysmal record against the top teams. I want to say United but not sure?

Exactly, not that you would want this to happen but if we lose all the rest of the games to the top 6 sides (unfortunately Leicester have dropped out of this group for this example) and we continue to beat the everyone else we will end up with 79 points.

Not that we will beat everyone else twice but just goes to show you don't have to beat the top sides to end up with a probable points total that will get you top 4.

Watched his interviews and honestly he is the perfect man to soothe the pain of the Martinez era.

His standards are high, he speaks honestly, he doesn't tolerate slacking but isn't a miserable sod either, he prioritises work ethic and fitness. He just commands respect.

He is everything Martinez isn't, and in 5 games has revamped the mood of the club and players completely. Fingers crossed he can keep us chugging along and also get the signings he wants in January.

This is exactly what we need to do.
See where we are after 10, 15 games etc and go from there. Small targets.

We could end up like Leicester.
Worse case is we end up like Everton.

The stadium appears to be buzzing again watching the game from over here. Great to see.

aye...imagine what the best Moyes sides could've done with such decent momentum at the beginning of the season.

feeling dangerously optimistic here.

either that or those 4 wins were against really chaff teams.
