Ronald Koeman discussion

Let's face it, his primary management tactic is to start every game by parking the bus and making sure he doesn't select anyone with pace (I think he gets anxious with more than 2 everton players in the opposing teams half). Even with this set up weak teams are scoring against us for fun.

Its like martinez but without the Everton goals :celebrate:

Not having a go mate but out of the thousands of managers since Kendall, how many have had your scenario happen? Ferguson, sure. Anyone else?

It's FAR more likely that no matter how much time you give a manager they won't turn things around.

.

Probably wiser to give the manager, who bought the players, the chance to turn it around than someone who will want their own players at a cost of 'money we haven't got'?

A thing that will hamper him is that he’s not the most personable or likeable of managers to the Everton fanbase. He’s a hard faced pragmatist whose won much more than Everton during the time of his career in football so he’s not gonna throw platitudes at the club or fanbase.

There will be less goodwill and quicker long knives when it goes wrong on the field.

We need partnerships down the flanks. Davies centrally he's the man who can make us tick and Sig in the hole we paid nearly 50m for this guy he needs to be behind the frontman, enough with running Rooney into the ground if he plays he stays up front or rotates with Sig in the hole otherwise bench him, we look like latter day England with him dropping everywhere but effecting very little. Play a central striker or two!Numerous times tonight nobody was in the box as Rooney and Sandro dropped deep or wide. Sit Sandro and Klassen out they aren't up to first team duties or starting currently dip them in and out. Sandro on a wing alongside another striker when he does play.

Stop chopping and changing players and systems, sure some rotation but he needs to get this team gelling and working as a unit sad to say that EL looks done and dusted already, so groove these players in a team and formation constantly. If he won't do any of this and by crimbo we are still dire, yes then look elsewhere we can't wait for him, we need results given the outlay. This is modern togger.

I would concur but you would think that a manager who clearly has asked specifically for a bunch of these players would have SOME ideas of how he wants them too play tho.

I mentioned this earlier, if Koeman doesn't last the next manager is going to have a hell of a time fixing this team.

Good shout on partnerships developing.

Has Baines even had this opportunity since Pienaar died?

The rational and concise point and lack of fence-sitting makes me think this is a trap
