It cant be left in the past, his first season record here still stands. A massive irritation to his foaming detractors, I know, but true nonetheless.
I should add though that the Martinez stuff should be in the appropriate world forum thread.
Martinez fooled us all that first season, he was left a good group of highly trained lads by Moyes, he bought Lukaku and Barry who had points to prove, but at the end of the day he won the grand sum of ZERO, so it was all in vain.

He was a prophet mate, had visions of a disastrous future where Martinez ruined us and he let us know on got what was in store... The guy was a forward thinking genius if you ask me, but he was mercilessly mocked like so many ahead of their time, and dragged over the coals, even more so as the end of the first season approached where Martinez did well, to the point where the celebration of Martinez thread was just a put the boot into the op thread.... turns out he was right though, Martinez was a bit pap.
