Ronald Koeman discussion

6th, with the squad we have now its hard to see us doing much better, Koeman is fine, the problem is the lack of quality players and one failed window wasnt going to change that.

finally Everton fan who isn't deluded.

There are many teams with better squads than you, Stoke, Southampton, Leicester and us included.

At the end of the day, there's one thing that yesterday taught us more than anything, and it's that we are no match for the top 6 teams at this stage (though Utd have been crap so far).

I don't mean in the odd game, but I mean in terms of everything, we're just not there yet.

However, I've yet to see any other side outside of that top six who 'scares' me or makes me think we won't be competing/be favourites for seventh.

Not sure if this was new thread worthy but think back to 3 years ago, we had a decent start under Martinez but it wasn't just the football that was a breath of fresh air the atmosphere around the club going away was great and so were home games...

It doesn't feel like a new era at all.

Obviously Martinez had to be booted out, but what I did like at the beginning of his reign was that he didn't fear playing anyone, and that filtered through to the fans, whether we won the game or not when we played any of the so called big boys, you went into the game with no fear.

If we were playing them next time out, I'd be scared.

We've not got them for near-enough seven weeks, so wind it in, ey?

They have Boro, West Ham, Bournemouth, Sunderland and Southampton between now and playing us

We have Swansea, Southampton, Utd, Watford, Arsenal

Who would you bet will be in better form going into the derby

Honestly do you see the RS losing any of those fixture the form they are in?

Not preaching what was said then is relevant and/or correct but Martinez wasn't fully to blame last season, the same way Koeman is not this season.

The issues with Everton are more ingrained in the club, the lack of vision, the lack of belief and hard-luck stories galore.
Moshiri may change all that, he might not, but the crux of Everton's problems can be found in its mentality, and until that changes we -along with any manager- won't really go anywhere.
