Ronald Koeman discussion

Great point.

For all his faults, Bobby gave off the impression he absolutely loved being here and had a plan to establish us back among the elite with a positive attitude on the pitch with the players he had at his disposal and a couple of inspired loans and one major signing plus a youth policy to build us up in the long term.

He talked the club up at every opportunity and it really enthused the fanbase in a way the new owner and manager have never even tried to do thus far.

It is nowt short of a tragedy the wheels came off in the second half of last season, but for one brief, magical season three years ago younger Blues got a glimpse of what Everton could be and us old timers were reminded of how great we had been.

God, I miss Bobby Martinez and the 2013/14 season :(
In a strange way he scared the life out of me that first season as I thought this is it
I did say at the time though I wish he would curb the enthusiasm, simply as he had most probably one of the most starved fan base in the country and they would bit at anything...

Not about fixture and not about tactics. It's simply down to basics and the willingness to execute that on the pitch.

For 90 mins we press without any meaning, fullbacks runs towards thier winger and no attempt whatsoever to win the ball back.
Our midfielders were not intelligent or discipline enough to close down the infield passes from thier wingers. We only tackle when they come close enough to shoot.

All these shadowy Defence with no purpose is the hallmark of Martinez chronic diesease that is still crippling the minds of some of our fanciful no mark players.

Pressing without an attempt to win the balls is just like wearing a condom but complaining about not being able to get pregnant.

They recruited a manager who won the German league twice and got to the final of the Champions League. Who went out and secured his transfer targets early

What do you expect?

For us to turn up and put in a performance in a derby

We are playing Liverpool not Barca

They have Boro, West Ham, Bournemouth, Sunderland and Southampton between now and playing us

We have Swansea, Southampton, Utd, Watford, Arsenal

Who would you bet will be in better form going into the derby

Honestly do you see the RS losing any of those fixture the form they are in?

I don't care what they do. Neither should you, it's weird.

All things considered, our squad is absolutely nowhere near the level of the top 5 and it's up to Moshiri, Walsh & Koeman to sort it out.

Unless they can do that, then honestly what is the point in anything?

Go and support City/Utd/Chelsea/Liverpool/Arsenal/Spurs then
