Ronald Koeman discussion

Think you may of misunderstood my post

I was agreeing with you, I just wanted to exegarate the best squad comment to the people who used it in their quest to rid RM, but now blame results on the crap RM left
It seems like i had! i agree with what youre trying to say, some people are even blaming koeman now. Prehaps it wasnt martinez or koeman, but the players

Moyes getting us regular best-of-the-rest is probably under-appreciated, but in an age when Leicester can win the title with such style and so soon after investment & manager change then I don't see why we shouldn't expect a little more oomph in our performances so far.

We may be 6th which sounds fine on paper but we've all seen our performances this season and it's not been that heartening, especially considering current form/results and the big matches to come.

Youre comparing Moyes to Martinez spending ignoring that Martinez only rarely had funds to sign players over £5mil and had to cover a lot of positions with old players and gambles.

Which players did Moyes leave Martinez who were worth decent money? Where are these players now?

Martinez added alot of value to the balance sheet with his transfers to argue that is folly.

RM had £15m net per season while DM had about £1-2m. And it was up to RM as to how to spend the budget. Fellaini, Jelavic, Anichebe and Naismith were sold for almost £50m.

I ask you again why don't you accept RM was a failure? He got the sack because he got 22 wins out of 75 matches. Plain and simple. What do you want to justify?

Hahahaha you absolute clown

We have Coleman/Jags/Baines/Barry/Barkley/Del/Lukaku/Kev/Oviedo/McCarthy/Kone/Robles who all played in that 2013/2014 side

So tell me how that side can finish 5th on 72 points but we now call them not good enough/massive bottlers etc

Maybe we don't have the right man to get the best out of them

£15mil 'net per season'.

So £45mil then...now remove Lukaku and youre left with £17mil over 3 seasons.

The way you calculate teams predicted finishing places in the league is their wage bill...ours was 9th and we finished 11th.

Now imagine what the wage bill would have been once you remove the rubbish dross which was left over and the bad gambles made...more like 15th or worse.

our wage bill this season i think would be 7th or 8th...lets see where we finish.

Why on earth are you bringing up 3 seasons ago and ignoring the fact this group of players could barely muster up a good performance in the past 2?

Because the quality is obviously there, Or do we ignore that first season under Martinez?

That's easy. They played well for one season, then played crap for the next 2 seasons under the same manager. Nothing changed. the manager didn't change. So it was clearly the players. Ask Baines, he said it himself. The discipline slipped and the players didn't want to play for him.

Now we have a new manager. The players don't want to play for him either.

It's the players mate, no-one else.

There comes a point when you need to admit players aren't as good as you thought they were, and/or are now finished, and have a clearout. A proper one, including some high profile departures.
