Ronald Koeman discussion

RM had £15m net per season while DM had about £1-2m. And it was up to RM as to how to spend the budget. Fellaini, Jelavic, Anichebe and Naismith were sold for almost £50m.

I ask you again why don't you accept RM was a failure? He got the sack because he got 22 wins out of 75 matches. Plain and simple. What do you want to justify?
The net spend card being played
There is no doubt DM was superb on a limited budget, and bought and sold very well
The problem I have with the net spend card is it would all look so different if RM would of caved in and sold Stones
He never and we loved the thought of keeping one of our prized assets

Same squad that finished 5th with 72 points

He gets some flak and most of it is justified.

But, I will say, in that season when he had Moyes defensive discipline still with the players, he added a belief and a style of football that in any other season would've pushed us on to the next level.

That's easy. They played well for one season, then played crap for the next 2 seasons under the same manager. Nothing changed. the manager didn't change. So it was clearly the players. Ask Baines, he said it himself. The discipline slipped and the players didn't want to play for him.

Now we have a new manager. The players don't want to play for him either.

It's the players mate, no-one else.

There comes a point when you need to admit players aren't as good as you thought they were, and/or are now finished, and have a clearout. A proper one, including some high profile departures.

So the players are capable of playing good football and getting a 72 point total?

Yeah we do ignore it, because it was 3 years ago and most of that team have either left the club or seriously regressed. Only Lukaku has improved from that squad since then, I dare you to tell me otherwise.

Ron will get the same squad into the top 7.

If Martinez did that on top of the cup runs we had (two semi finals, last 16 Europa League) he'd still be manager.

£15mil 'net per season'.

So £45mil then...now remove Lukaku and youre left with £17mil over 3 seasons.

The way you calculate teams predicted finishing places in the league is their wage bill...ours was 9th and we finished 11th.

Now imagine what the wage bill would have been once you remove the rubbish dross which was left over and the bad gambles made...more like 15th or worse.

our wage bill this season i think would be 7th or 8th...lets see where we finish.

Mind you £15m is an estimation he should have spent a little bit more. Why did you take away the money he spent that on Lukaku? He decided to spend it that way. What is your argument?

What was the wage bill in the past decade and yet Moyes got 6th/7th. DM's net spend was £1-2m per season.

I ask you again and again seem you just keep ignoring. Why don't you accept RM was a failure. There is nothing to justify, he is gone.

What if what if...there is no what if. What if the rich guy bought Everton instead of Citch...
