Ronald Koeman discussion

Moshiri will have known just as well as anyone when he bought into the club - this wasn't simply a job of a few tweaks and job done. He would have known this was a rebuilding job - management team, squad, stadium.

Quite.

But you bet your bottom dollar he had never factored in relegation or even the hint of it.

There is no long haul for Koeman based on what we have seen thus far.

He needs to arrest this slide very quickly.....and that seems a forlorn hood given the next three league games.

Even Hull must be eyeing us up for three points.

Are we still happy to give this guy £100 million if we even have it? I think the players he bought in the summer have been crap with the exception of Gana,
Cant see a plan with what he wants to do? shape is wrong but he keeps persisting with it, really poor to watch
Its a fair point. But the alternative is to bring someone else in and give them the money. Who would that be? What type of player would they want? Big gamble either way. Plus, a new manager won't change my mind on this group. They've had their day and too many chances.

It's an awful run. Nobody is disputing that.

However, it happens - look at Mourinho last year with Chelsea for example.

Koeman has a lot of work to do. There's things that he isn't to blame for (the crap - and it is crap - squad he was left as an example) but there's other things that he should have changed that he hasn't.

Only he knows the reason for that. But equally so I've never known a fanbase to be so ready to turn on a new boss - which you can't deny Evertonians have been - especially one that has inherited a side that is fundamentally a midtable one.

If results don't improve sharpish - especially when he's had another window - then there'll be rightly questions asked. Atm he needs to do certain things IMO that may help us have a bit more proactivity when we play.

Runs like that run at Southampton aren't acceptable at Everton tho.

I don't want him sacked but he's in a serious enough predicament now.

If arsenal beat us badly and then as expected, we lose to the RS, then Goodison will be toxic and moshiri will probably pull the trigger. That's how I see it. It's 2 massive games.

He said we needed to kick-on from when we scored but didn't, and then only reacted in the last 10 minutes.

What's nonsensical about that pal?
Whilst not fantastic, I actually thought it was better than his recent post match comments. He said we need to be pro-active not reactive. Set piece defending not good enough. Need more confidence when we're 1 up. Take it on from there. I know its his job to address it, but he acknowledged right there what the issues are.

I want Eddie Howe. NEA.

His side playing good football, have a great team spirit they're tough to beat. He inherited this team so he deserve a lot of credit and a chance at bigger club.

Maybe we need someone young (but proven), commited and full of passion to end this mess? He fits that bill imo.

What do you expect to happen? 1 win in 11 games is going to mean the manager comes under big pressure at any club. It's just an awful run, and allied to the dire football we're playing it's not remotely surprising that fans are unhappy with him.

It has to be said that he hasn't really helped himself with some of his comments and actions. When you act like he has you better make sure you get results, otherwise you're setting yourself up for a nasty fall.

he will stay, and I agree he should be given time unless we plummet down the table.......but I don't like the idea that our much needed squad overhaul will be overseen by him. Hopefully, even though they wont sack him, his superiors will lessen his input in the overall transfer strategy haven seen enough to suggest there is a reasonable chance they might have to replace the boss sooner than thought.
I'm not so sure that he will see the season out. Should he be given this season? Yes I'd give him until this time next year if it was up to me but I've got the feeling results will continue like this and the club will have to take action and the sword will fall in him while them rats playing for us will get away with it.

Currently losing 2-0 to Burnley and not even half time yet

I'd give it to Unsworth (with Royle) to the end of season and see what he can do. Frankly on what we've seen so far he can't do worse. He's also done a top job with U23's and handled himself really well at the end of last season.

I absolutely don't see him as the main problem, but if we are beaten heavily in the next 2 games he will be gone.

I hate this squad mate, can't wait to ship loads of them out given the first opportunity but it still stands that the manager has to get them winning games and performing better. He is massively underperforming currently so doesn't deserve to be cut any slack either.

Why mate?

That's so snobbish. We finished 11th for two years, stop making out we're a massive club that should be competing for the title.

We ain't anymore. We all want to be back there, but small steps.

It is a massive 2 games. Will Mosh pull the trigger? No chance.

If he was sacked tomorrow, would anyone be that arsed?

We're absolutely turd and let's face it, he doesn't give a toss about Everton...
I'd be very arsed that we'd have to start all over again with the same gang of useless cretins playing for us. If he doesn't give a toss about us then what does that say for the players, because they look less arsed then he does.

I fear that there's gonna be a predictable outcome here. But we will be no further forward with a new manager either. The club need a complete overhaul on every level. I actually can't be arsed watching on Tuesday night. I'm gonna do something else and not let them ruin my Christmas. I can take losing. I won't stand for gutless thieving scum stealing a wage at my club whilst giving no effort whatsoever. Not letting them ruin my weekend.
