Not much difference in goals conceeded either, and we at least were scoring and had a decent cup run in progress.

Yup, we aren't 5-6 games in now, we are closing in on half a season, and there is zero sign of any player progressing, of any actual style being implemented, or system.

The latest thing is saying he can't play his system because the players arent capable, hmmm ok but i can guarantee that if Klopp or Conte would have taken over then these self same players would be actually playing a system by now, and if not they would be no where near the first team

klopp for starters has shown that you can get bang average players to go out and 'put a shift in' its about the coaching, Koeman doesn't seem capable of coaching a player to play the system he wants, he needs to buy the ready made player, which is absolutely disturbing as hell.

He looked out by taking over a Pocc team that was immenesly fit and used to the style of pressing - and yes he replaced 2-3 players - but as he has previously said himself he doesnt get involved in buying players which means that the aints DoF, went out there and bought replacements who already could play a high intensity game, evidence suggests Koeman isn't capable of teaching it if its not already part of the player

Why? What about anything how we are playing makes you think is to be successful? The football we play is horrible. He wants us to be a long ball team(ok, that's fine) with Lukaku as the focal point. Think about that for a minute.

15 games in, after taking over an aging squad on its arse for 2 years.

Personally think we should give him a few windows before we sack him.

I get that people are a tad angry, the results are very bad, but we are still top half of the table, maybe ask me again if we drop as low as 15th.

You know what, Tim.

These next two fixtures are taking on the mantle of the two coming down the pike in the week following the game after which Bobby should have been fired.....ironically after we stole a point from Koeman's Saints at Goodison last season.

Then we had two massive games looming and we had all more or less accepted it was going to be the week from hell.

At the Pit on the Wednesday and at Wembley for the semi final :(

But "nothing" was supposed to be the same

And yet here we are, eight months later and enjoying Christmas as much as the average turkey :pint2:

Will add something to that mate, seeing everton get bummed at the pit is hugely different to seeing them get smashed at Goodison, if we do lose heavy at our place then it will be ten times worse

I'm not saying I don't rate Koeman. Because I do. I just fear these players have given up on another manager. Again I'll stress that I do not rate Martinez, but he was not helped by these gutless cowards giving up on him. I fear this squad will get no more than a point from our next 3 games and in doing so will get another manager the boot. His position will become untenable and we'll have no option but to sack him, but it will be 100% down to this squad of utter cretins, lowlifes in fact. I don't want this situation to come about because I don't want this group of cowards to get their way again, but I fear it's almost inevitable.

Again, that's not the mark of a good manager. You make your tactics around the players you have. God knows what our final form is going to look like at this rate.

a major part of the problem is after the last 3-4 yearsthat moyes seemd to lose the early passion - Koeman seems very much that cold fish mate, dunno what the answer is, but personality wise he doesnt really seem to fit with us, maybe that says more about us than him, who knows

The next run of games will see us drop into the bottom six IMO we are in the crap the negative team selections are worryng IMO!

That is a good point. And I think the only recipe is to bring someone more likeable, commited and passionate. As Leicester showed, all you need to have is high morale, team spirit and will of fight. And that is the role of manager - make them believe.

When was the last time we had a manager who made the players believe and go a win a trophy.
The game has changed and everyone in the game bar a few exceptions is in it for the money.

Look, I am not buying this business about players not playing for him and wanting him out.

It looked to today like Del threw the head up and decided to play his own way.....which was the only bright spot today.

He almost dragged us back into the match.

The way he did at Wembley.

Del is by far our mist skilful player IMO.

His performance in that second half today was screaming at Koeman to give his free rein in the next game.

Sorry Tim, this is now down to clueless leadership in the dugout.

These players are not as bad as the results suggest.

7 points in 30.......what a joke.
