Ronald Koeman

Ronald Koeman...good choice for us?

  • yes, he'll get us top 6 and stability

  • no, it's uninspiring even if top 6 is back on

  • josé on toast

They may be European ban specialists and have the spawn of Satan himself but thank the night stars that we have the ambulance rocking pocket pissers a mere mile from us as it prevents us from being a deluded mess.

Imagine having to be Southampton though?

It's a thought Ronald Koeman himself must have pondered lately and been so grateful that a career and life on Merseyside beckoned.

I'd rather live in a tent in Bootle than a mansion in Southampton

Heard the same when pochettino left (arguably the better manager) plus the fire sale to the bin dippers .
Season after we finished higher then previous season.

I think you have paid over the odds and are maybe over hyping the arrival of Koeman..how you think that will pan out?

He wasn't many fans first choice I don't think but he can't do any worse than last season. If he sorts our defence we have good attacking options even when Lukaku leaves.
Think losing a second manager will be a greater loss than the first. You guys are going to be poo I reckon

You took Lawrie Mc Menamy??
Take an area like Birkenhead Docks, fill it full of wools who think a piss up and a scrap makes them real men. Add the fact nobody from the place has ever been to University, plus the measure of real success is a job in Burtons. This hotbed of incest is called Southampton. Be off with you peasant!

Why don't you just go on the Norwich forum instead. You can have a good old chat about being a nothing yo-yo team in some footballing backwater.

This is the big boys playground, you'll only get hurt.

Nope it's a football forum.

You use a keypad and type words

You had your heart set on Emery mate? Or is this just frustration as you are having Koeman signing anxiety issues?
I'd have preferred Emmery of course but after him RK was, by far, my first choice. This doesn't take from the fact that I think it's strange when given a £28-31 million bumper contract he leaves the club and tens of thousands of fans waiting and speculating for days rather than flying in for one day signing and flying back to his family and extending his holiday by a day or two.
It seems to reflect the fact that he's not highly work orientated - "We planned for Wednesday to be a day off after the Tuesday, but Fonte said to me: 'Boss, we'd like to come and train tomorrow', Koeman said. 'But you have a day off. I've planned a lot of things with my wife!'" - An example where the Southampton players were pushing the coach for extra training instead of the other way around.
None of this will make a blind bit of difference if he's getting results during the season but if things aren't going well and he's enjoying a lot of leisure time with the wife I can see this becoming a real issue. Hopefully things go well and we it's never discussed again.

That's quite a misplaced leap of faith you've made there mate.

Leave the man be on his holidays. He works hard all year without not much time off. He has a family to tend to and nourish.

Just because there's a few self entitled sky fans wanting their anxieties laid to rest isn't a good enough reason to cancel the mans holidays.
