Ronald Koeman

Ronald Koeman...good choice for us?

  • yes, he'll get us top 6 and stability

  • no, it's uninspiring even if top 6 is back on

  • josé on toast

Martinez had years left on his contract at Wigan.

If the club is interested and want him, they will get him. Appreciate different clubs, but the point is if the football club want him, they will go all out to secure his services.

The profit is mostly secured by limiting large-stake bets and quickly (and strictly) reducing the odds to reflect the number of large stakes, of course this would push those not being staked on up...but by managing the amount of large stakes this would largely protect against potential losses.

Disclaimer: I ran a number of Corals in south-east London for 3 years back when it was manual settling.

.....I really rate the Coral (horse racing) odds compilers. Whenever they go shorter than anybody else in the Oddschecker list it influences my betting. Anyway, back on thread I still think the odds on Koeman would be shorter if his appointment was as certain as some are making out.

When asked whether he would stay at Southampton he responded with a verbal 'yes' but his body language was less certain.

I too wouldn't take what was said as gospel.

Mental or want the best?

He's approached us, not the other way round.

Prior to Moshiri, no chance of Mourinho, but considering he is running out of clubs to manage that can "accommodate" him, a big salary, a big transfer budget (he would attract players), and the opportunity to show he really is the special one by taking a good team and sleeping giant of a club back the forefront of English Football.

I mean did he not do that at Chelsea??? (exclude the sleeping giant bit maybe..)

Was he shaking his head left and right as he said "Yes". That's quite hard to do, he must be our man.

Do people really think we could get Mourinho?

He is waiting for the Man Utd job he does not want to come to us.

He is playing the waiting game to see what Man Utd do - if Man Utd win the FA Cup will they give LVG one more season - as they will not finish in the top 4 this season.

If he does not get the Man Utd job, I still do not think he will come to us.
