Ross Barkley

Not expecting him to be Rooney. Just expecting to play at least some of the time with Everton's first team. But Moyes seems dead-set on never playing him until he reaches some certain point. But how can he keep on developing in reserve grade?

I don't see why you have to send players out on loan for them to develop. FFS Barkley was our MOTM in a game last season (yes, we lost it, but you know what I mean), he is easily good enough for the top level.
Just right now his decision making is not the best and neither are his defensive capabilities. He will get more gametime and generally this will improve him.

Are people seriously forgetting he is 18...no one should be judging him as a player until he's at least 21. This is an excellent move for him, let him go get gametime at a decent level, let him develop. He's 18 ffs, I know he's got a lot of potential, but he's still a kid. Not every superstar was a superstar by 18...give him time to develop.

At the moment he is no where near our first team but I can't see why thats a problem...again, he's 18...

Barkley set for Wednesday move

Can't publish the link as I currently have 11 posts and need 20! But FTB Pro reckon the deal is to be completed by the end of the week

I find this baffling that Moyes would send the lad out on loan considering he is low on numbers. However, he needs the experience and Wednesday manager Dave Jones seems decent enough in giving youth a chance (take note Ginge).

He'll go out on loan, do quite well...go back out on loan again next season to a different championship side & then we'll see very little of him.

The new José.

I know, I do fear this coming to fruition though. The lad has been hyped up to hell, i feel he is fighting a losing battle as he may never be as good as everyone demands he become

He doesn't seem the type to be fazed by the occasion... If this is the case then hopefully the loan can restore confidence and he'll come back to us a more solid footballer
