I doubt it'd be a public request and with him having little time left on his contract. He's an Evertonian and would surely want Everton to get a good deal if it were to happen.

I think you will find in a couple of years he will either sign a new contract or go. Depending on where we are headed as a Club.

Yeah. If Ross wants to go, it'll be a way down the line, and because he wants to go to a top-5 club. Said top 5 club will be able to shell out big bucks for him, and he'd want to leave Everton on good terms I'm sure. I bet he'd sign a new contract a year-ish beforehand to make sure Everton can get a good deal.
 
Have to be honest. Roberto making statements like that is only going to put more pressure on him. The young England players are already expected to be as good as Ronaldo and Bale and that's we always under perform.

Let him play with freedom, and let him to do the talking.

I think tbh Martinez is covering all bases with this by talking him up,yes we want to keep him,but every player does have a price and you are going to be talking mega dough if you want him.

i forgot we finished 6th last season
 

it's all to do with hindsight, if we saw a list of the players we'd buy with his sale, it could possibly change people's mind. if you buy 4 absolute wonder talents for that money in the positions we need strengthening the team will be so much better and we could achieve a lot more.

but it's the fact he's a blue from the youth, and rightly so that gets people. ideally we want to see a true blue win trophies with him being the focal point, but nothing's ideal these days. he's had a couple of injuries as well, it's a risk to buy him when he is still just potential, but it's also a risk to keep him turning down a massive bid because of that very fact.

we're top 4 challengers atm, if you buy a wonderful keeper, centre back, left winger and replacement for ross with that money, you're breaking into that top 4 and reaping the benefits straight away.

so yeah, i'm fence-sitting. don't want to see any of our players sold, especially not this one, but if we get better as a team, i'm not going to complain tbh.

just wait to see if anything comes of these rumours first tbh.
 
Martinez doesn't half exaggerate and go over the top about Ross.

Saying he will become the greatest England player of all time, he needs to calm down and stop hyping him up so much.

It's almost like knows he's going and the more he hypes him the more money he thinks we will get for him.

It's more a hypocritical thing for me, he says this whilst moving him out of his best position to accomodate other players.

Would Toure, silva, hazard, Fabregas etc. Be ushered out of their best position for other players
