Ross Barkley

Looks likely given Moyes words on the subject. Maybe he's been waiting to get the internationals out the way to examine any injuries before giving the move to Sheffield the green light?

Thanks, Maybe Moyes got a plan, Barkley is not really coming on in the reserves just like Osman who was highly rated as a kid, very skilful but never came on, and he really came on at Derby, Duffy has grown alot too and really enjoyed his time, wilshire who is rated at one of the best went out on loan, so dont fret to much. Moyes will not ruin a player for the sake of it.

One month, that way if he hits good form and proves himself we can get him back. If not, extend the loan...win win situation.

A month i'm happy with, the paranoia is creeping in though...I'm afraid it will get extended & extended until he becomes the new José Baxter because we've still got Phil Neville playing in centre f*cking midfield.

Fair enough that it's only a month. Lets the lad see a different system from what we've got and gets him some game time. Builds confidence and fitness, etc. I would've been fuming if it was season-long though. We owe him a few starts here and there.

A month to month basis is fine... He needs the games and matchday experience. I think by Xmas well have a Barkley ready to start games for us if nessesary.

Very good option to use with Ross in my eyes. As much as people won't want to hear it.. At this precise moment in time it is better to start with Neville in cm than Ross. I have no doubt Ross will come back twice the player of Neville and will go from strength to strength.

Obviously ideally I'd prefer gibbo and felli cm before nev... Just before I get attacked about nev!

How can you advocate playing Neville?!!!

I'd rather play Phil Neville as a Darron Gibson replacement DM than Ross Barkley. But then I'd rather play Phil Neville RB than Ross Barkley too. Ross is an attacking player and Nev is a defensive player. Asking either to directly replace the other is silly.

But if we assume Gibson and Fellaini are both fit and there's only a third central midfield spot to take then given how good the former two are at defending themselves I don't think you need a third defensive player there and I'd rather that third player be an attacking player sitting in front of those two rather than a defensive one sitting behind. Now that doesn't have to be Ross, we're okay for choices there so it could be Osman, Kev or Naismith instead. But I'd rather it be Barkley than Neville because it changes our entire style of play to have another creative player as well as Fellaini in that central three.
