But we all said this when Moyes was here, doing these things with Ross.
Its was clear, that he needed to play further up the field, many on here said it, It was obvious.
Arsenal would never pay the money.Maybe he wants to play good football, and be given a chance along with half a dozen other English kids AND play Champs league?????!!!!
Totally. I remember his first game against Arsenal and it was the first time he actually justified the hype and Jags in the interview after saying something about him getting to play in his favourite position. He'll never be a decent defender. He doesn't like tackling which is sad if what Moyes said about him being fearless in the tackle beforehand. Big deal, we have other players that can do that and besides football has moved more to a pressure and intercept model of defending which he can improve massively. Further forward he doesn't even need to tackle.
Price CostlyArsenal would never pay the money.
You surely mean French.
Sorry mate yeah, thought he'd rather challenge for the title
Or maybe it wasn'y my words, and maybe you read the posts correctly......
Arsenal playing good football is a myth these days
How dare you love Arsenal?I don't care, it was not my suggestion him going to Arsenal....
England players were shocked by the verbal rocket manager Roy Hodgson gave Ross Barkley in Glasgow.
Hodgson surprisingly omitted Barkley from his starting-line for the Scotland friendly in favour of handing Stewart Downing an international comeback.
Downing's return only lasted 45 minutes, as he was replaced at half-time. But, again, Hodgson overlooked Barkley and sent on Adam Lallana.
Barkley was eventually put on with only four minutes remaining, but the 20-year-old received a stern telling off from Hodgson just seconds after entering the game.
Hodgson lost his temper with Barkley for giving the ball away and appeared to scream: "Ross, ******* put the ball on the wing".
Players close to the incident were surprised at the level of Hodgson's anger at Barkley and the fact he was so quick to go for him.
Hodgson criticised Barkley's decision making after the midfielder was widely praised for a fearless performance in his first start for England in the World Cup warm-up game against Ecuador this summer.
Since making his England debut against Moldova last September, Barkley has played 348 minutes of international football, making just two starts and completing one full game.
Everton manager Roberto Martinez has claimed Barkley has the talent to become the best player in the history of the national game.
But there is concern from friends of the Everton star that Barkley may become inhibited at international level if he is regularly jumped upon for giving the ball away during brief cameos.
I would love it if he goes to the U21 tournament. I would pick them all and try and win it. The winning mentality is more important than a few nothing "full" internationals.
It's clearly Ross' fault and he needs to shape up.They've every right to be stunned, what Roy did was completely out of order. There's something not right going on between Roy and Ross, and I doubt any of it is coming from Ross.
