Id agree defensively hes a liability but we need him doing the buisness in the oppositions half.i won't be getting carried away after 1 good performance but it was a big improvement in my opinion
*2 good performances.

He looked a bit laboured against QPR.

Martinez has been saying how he needs a rest in the summer which would explain a lot. Hopefully he gets it and comes back and can put in Kiev like performances every week.

......he can't be exhausted physically, he's not been a regular starter and has been generally poor. I'm not underestimating mental pressure and exhaustion but I don't know him well enough to say he's suffering from that.

He was a regular starter for all the time he was being played out on the left after coming back from injury.

It's only recently that we've seen an uptick in his form and it has also coincided with him being dropped from the team for some games.

Plus I think the mental side is probably huge.

I doubt anyone really knows why but everyone says that most younger players go through this. They aren't all like Rooney or Messi.

He hasn't played loads of football this season, so I actually think going with the U21s would do him the world of good, get him away from the club for a bit and maybe get rid of the idea that he's actually better than he is as well.
Whilst I think it a great idea for Stones and Garbutt to go to the competition, don't think it is for Ross.

He's already won two youth tournaments (2009 and 2010) and been knocked out of two more competitions in the group phases (2013 u20 world cup and 2014 Brazil world cup).

That is pretty much the entire spectrum of experience you can get so not sure it would benefit him to add another youth tournament. Hopefully he'll go to Euro 2016 next summer, probably best to let him rest this one.

Going to be interesting if he decides against going the reaction of the media etc.

Martinez has been pretty clear all year that he doesn't want Barkley to go and he'll be the one that takes most of the heat I think.

Ross having had a poorish season will probably help as well - Martinez can rightly or wrongly, point to that and say he needs a break.

The one that could get really interesting is if Pochettino takes Kane on a club tour of Australia instead of releasing him to thr U21s... @Yid4life any idea what will happen this summer?
