Ross Barkley

It's a good point this. I sometimes wonder if we should go with a 4-3-3 - Gibson holding and starting off attacks, McCarthy hooning around all over the shop and Barkley picking up from deep and running at the opposition.
Perfect....you could get them both charging forward when needed to have two behind lukaku, or sit back to strengthen the middle

No point blaming the manager for Barkley having not been great this year. He's got it in him somewhere though, hopefully next season everyone comes together and pushes on a lot.

We are living in interesting times for Evertonians, we are safe in the league, we definitely know what doesn't work for us, so we have a number of games to see what will work and where we are short of talent to make it work.
RM has a golden opportunity to show us what he intends to do next season. The two wins changes a lot for him. He has his breathing space, now let us see the manager adapting to get the best from his resources.

I hope you are right Caolam but RM is showing worrying signs. His choices are testing credibility. Selecting Taleban Tim is self-defeating because he makes so many mistakes.

And the Pale Messi is League Cup bench material at best.

On Sky TV this morning (Sunday Supplement), the four journalists spewed out their opinions of the football this week, I'd only turned over because on Sky 2 were Rush and Fowler fronting 'Goals on Sunday'. The subject was now Ross Barkley as on the back page of one of the papers said he will go for £50 Million this Summer, naturally the question was given to the only 'Scouse journalist' in Fleet Street and a known Red at that!, I think his name is Reid (could be Al or even Beryl), he obviously talked Ross down, in the hope of the RS getting him on the cheap. Everton have had many good players over the years but none as good as Barkley. If our entire team went to auction, you might get 20M for Lukaku,
Any one of the back four including 'Beckanbauer' Stones for 10M, same for Barry, Psycho, McCarthy ,Kev and Naisy, 5M McGeady 2M Robles.
Frees to Osman, 2 Wigan Boys. Howard and Hibbert plus 2M if you take them today. The Fat C could have a good holiday on that.

You would get more than all the figures you have mentioned for Lukaku, Stones and McCarthy so not too sure where you get those prices from mate.

it was the gaffer who played him left wing, dropped him out there after an motm at cm, and dropped him altogether the other night after a good display. he and others have to take responsibility for poor form, but when so many good players are so poor people with look for a common problem, and the easiest one to pick is the annoyingly chirpy balding catalan one

Everton have had many good players over the years but none as good as Barkley? How far you going back in time with that? As for "Psycho" i dont think Pat Van Den Hauwe is still playing mate.

I do blame martinez for barkley this season but it is worrying that barkley cannot play on the wings considering all his skills and pace?
