Ross Barkley

At the time of his Loan, Sheff Wed had a decent record and were sitting pretty high in the table, its only since hes joined that they have been getting dicked every game.

They're newly promoted. They were always going to be relegation fodder. They didn't even finish League One the previous year as Champions, or even close to it. They only went up after Sheff United collapsed completely as the season ended.

That's my point regarding Barkley. Wilshere goes out on loan to a decent Premier League club (at the time), whilst Barkley goes on loan to Championship relegation fodder.

Was he seriously not considered good enough for say Leeds, Cardiff or even someone like Middlesbrough - where Josh MacEachran currently is, for example.

I just don't understand... I dunno.

I may be wrong but I thought Mcheachran had gone on a season long loan? Perhaps better clubs wouldn't take a player for a month or two and Moyes wanted the option of him coming back and playing?

southampton and norwich?

Because Denilson had played numerous first team games for Arsenal before Wilshere went. Junior has only ever played 45 minutes' League Cup football for the Everton first team.

Moyes obviously thinks Junior is closer to the first team in his position than Ross is in his. Or to put it another way, Junior is of more use to Moyes right now, Can't see the big deal in arguing this point.

A player on loan would have more chance of playing over a player who isn't and was actually picked to play seems a bit of a weird argument to me.

But does he?

Junior was used for 45 minutes against Championship opposition in the League Cup. It's not like he's started every game while Barkley's been at Shef Wed.

That might be the case, I just don't think it's clear cut. It could well be that Moyes feels it quite pressing that Barkley gets some regular competitive football, but less so for Junior.

That's a point. whatever happened to him?
In This season, He plays for Celta Vigo on a year-loan. But, last year, his status in arsenal was closer to the match spectator than Football player. I think wenger just discard him after deciding to use only three strikers but it was a really weird situation that they rejected the loan offer from fulham last winter market. he is sure to go other team after this season ends.

Junior has IMO got to get ahead og Gibson and Neville to get a start.

Ross has IMO got to get ahead of Fellaini, Mirallas, Pienaar and Osman to get a start.

I'm not debating who the better player is here BTW.

Junior is not at the club very long and is still learning about what is expected of him at Everton. The fact that he was given such a long contract would indicate that he is seen more as a long term prospect and must be highly regarded.

Barkley is a different case,a young player who won't benefit from playing reserve and underage football, but is not ready yet for the first team. The lessons he learns every week playing in a struggling championship side are money in the bank for the rest of his career.I think we may see him on loan for most of this season or at least until his form ,injuries or suspensions force a recall as happened to Duffy last season.

That doesn't make any sense though. Those four you listed played four different positions against Wigan on Sat, so he can't possibly need to beat ALL of them to start :P
