is right, i know they are the champions, but they were fairly average and there for the taking. would like to see us try and win every game not settle for 1 point. At least we actually tried this season, last year at eastlands was embarassing, made us look so ****ing small. the fact moyes hasn't won away at any of the previous "Top 4" and is now not beating city or spurs away now they are top 4 teams is pretty atrocious given how long he's been here. little old swansea ripped arsenal a new one in their own backyard this week, why hasn't moyes been able to achieve one victory of such magnitude in 10 years? we've had very talented teams as well in that time. this league is very open this season, thought we would have been good for a win yesterday if he truly believed it was achievable
I dont even think we "sat back" as such, they played a great 2nd half, they closed us down all over the pitch and didnt let us play any football, which allowed them lots of the ball, which they basically cocked up with.

our goal did give them a kick up the arse, and to be fair at least moyes learnt from his norwich mistake and brought oviedo on for naismith soon enough. a suprising sub like barkley on for pienaar may have been the difference though and that's really what seperates moyes from more bold thinking managers who try to win every single game. Anyway, it could have gone the other way and we could have lost from said sub, but risking losing 1 point to win 3 is always worth a gamble imo.

Can't believe people are moaning about Ross not playing against Arsenal or Manchester City. When he doesn't play against teams like Wigan, then the questions should be asked.
But I can totally understand with Moyes'y not playing him against the "top sides", when we are still trying to win the game.

I wonder if Hitz or Ossie had got injured just before the Norwich game what Moyes might have done, he seems to zero faith in the kid so he probably would have played Jonny there, if he was going to get no game time at all, which is clearly the case, then Moyes is hindering the kids progress right now.
not going to bitch out anyone for this, but what, exactly, was the point of him coming back? he's not even been a thought in any of the matches so far. Cant imagine that being on a bench would be more beneficial than playing first team football in a competitive setting.
Would the reason maybe be that he's only allowed X loans a season and if they let him go out on a short term loan for the 3rd time he wouldnt be able to go back out again?

Probably wasn't sure how long Gibson was gonna be out for (no one did) and with Nevilles knee surgery, it was more of a precaution
