not going to bitch out anyone for this, but what, exactly, was the point of him coming back? he's not even been a thought in any of the matches so far. Cant imagine that being on a bench would be more beneficial than playing first team football in a competitive setting.

Would the reason maybe be that he's only allowed X loans a season and if they let him go out on a short term loan for the 3rd time he wouldnt be able to go back out again?

As i've said before, its because he asked the tea lady if she'd be first reserve in case we went down to no first teamers and only 10 fit youth players but she said no so he had to get Barkley back.

Hit the panic button.

Just encase Neville, Osman, Gibson, Fellaini, Hitz, Pienaar, Mirallas, Naismith all get injured in one sitting

When he was brought back we had 2 fit Centre Midfielders.

It was the right thing to do, hes learning more running up and down the touchline than getting smashed at Wednesday every week.

Looks a better bet than Naismith for sure - passed well and linked up nicely with Coleman. We have a few games against gash teams now - please play him Davey

Looked very neat and tidy, i was screaming at Pienaar to lay it off to Ross at the end, i was certain he'd have slotted it if Steven saw his run, keep it up Ross lid.

I'd go for a straight swap with Fellaini when Fellaini gets his ban. Jelavic will benefit as well because Barkley's passing and vision is infinitely better than Fellaini's.

He would, no doubt. I think, for all of Fellaini's heroics this season, Jelavic has struggled not having someone with a bit more creativity in behind him.

I'd quite like to see this too.

Gibson - Fellaini
Mirallas - Barkley - Pienaar
Jelavic

That's a solid midfield if i've ever seen one.
